Just made ressies for Washington DC/cherry blossom festival

DH just came home and gave me my birthday gift.....ressies to go to Washington DC April 9-11. He selected that date because the kids and I are on Easter break then. BUT.......we just realized that is Cherry Blossom time!!!!

I love DC and he found a great rate at the Grand Hyatt. The place looks wonderful!!! I haven't been to the Cherry Blossom Festival since I was very, very young.

Oh snoopy.......I'm anxious to hear of you have been to the Grand Hyatt before!!!!!

Take note NOW... if you ride the Metro you will have to buy a farecard for each passenger.

I've seen several folks each cherry blossom season who thought they could use one for the entire party.

Wow, that sounds like a lot of fun. It's funny your DH got you a trip to DC for your b'day because I'm surprising my DH with a trip there for his b'day. We're going Apr 2-4 and will also be staying at the Grand Hyatt (AAA has great deals there). The reason for going there is DH is a Rangers fan and they end the season there. I've arranged with a co-worker to cover for him because I don't want to tell him until just before we go (his actual b'day is later in April). I wonder if the Cherry trees will be blooming when we're there?

I want to go and see the Cherry Blossom Festival. We have some trees here that now have cherry blossoms on them-they are very pretty. Have a great time.

Cherry Blossom time is beautiful! I was married in DC during Cherry Blossom Time so that was the theme for my wedding as well. Almost 29 years ago. Haven't been back in about 10 years since my Dad passed away
