I'm so excited!

We scheduled a two bedroom at BLT, our home resort, for October.

We might try to switch at our 7 month mark to AKV, depending on what the kids want. :rotfl: (they really love it there) Is there a calculator somewhere that will give me my exact date for the seven months out like there is for dining?

We are doing the dining plan.
We have a bay lake view.

The lady asked if there were any special requests I wanted to add, and I did the high chair and pack and play since we'll have an infant at that time. Is there anything specific I should ask for? She asked if we wanted a high floor for a better view of the lake, so I said sure, why not?

We are planning another trip so we didn't want to borrow points for the magic kingdom view. Is it really that great? If we want to watch the MK fireworks, we can just go to the observation deck, right? :lovestruc

Is there anything else I should know or do? I think we're going to get annual passes as well.

Our inlaws are going with us :scared1: but they are paying their own way for this trip. (hence the two bedroom)

Have a good trip! We bought into Kidani 2 years ago, we were able to stay at Jambo last year, this will be our 1st visit to Kidani can't wait!~

Congratulations!

Booking the first reservation is very exciting.

You may want to look at work2play's thread on views of BLT

Some people request an even # room on the North side. These rooms have a lake view and most (if not all) can also see MK to the side of their balcony. Many people watch the fireworks from these rooms. It's a way of saving on points, but still having a fireworks view.
Keep in mind, requests are not guaranteed.

Viewing from the observation deck is also an excellent way to watch the fireworks.

I see you are looking at purchasing an Annual Pass. Depending on your plans, you may want to look into Tables In Wonderland as an alternative to the DDP.
We decided to buy TIW instead of DDP since we are making 2 trips within 12 months. For our first trip, it would have been close between DDP and TIW. Since TIW is already paid for, our second trip (October) we will be coming out ahead since we don't have to pay anything to save 20% on many tables service meals.

If you stay at BLT, I would recommend watching the MNSSHP event fireworks. When we were at BLT in December, we noticed a significant difference between fireworks during the MVMCP event and the regular fireworks.

Hope you have a great trip!

Congrats!!! We just made our first one at the beginning of Jan. A 2br at BLT, just like you. It is very exciting.

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, we used to get 10 day hopper passes with no expiry. That cost us more than the annual pass . Annual pass you have perks. Sooooooooo we bought annual pass in dec when we were down knowing we were going to be there 3 times before our passes run out. We have been members since 1998 and love it. Our home base is boardwalk. We never stay there. We usually stay at okw its the cheapest and we love the atmosphere there. Plus the rooms are a bit larger. The bus service there is great. We also like akl but the bus service from there isnt quite as handy as olw. Make sure you get the main bedroom hahaha. Nice whirlpool bath. We have over 500points annually now and use everyone of them. They go further if you want to use points on sun thry thur and pay cash for fri and sat nites.
