we wanted to go in june 2017 to aulani for the first time. just was able to see availibility and there is none for the entire week, just a one night here and and there. . is it even worth it to waitlist or not?? i dont want to buy airfare and plan our summer vacation to find out later we cant even get a room, we just wanted a studio. really wanted to go but not looking good it seems.

I would not book airfare unless there were dates firmly in place, but that's just me. That being said, June is a very busy time at Aulani and I would imagine that there are other wait lists already in place for that month...personally, I would move on.

Agree. June is very popular at Aulani. Would not purchase flight without resort booking in place.

Is it possible to move your trip up to May? With schools still in session I bet you have a better chance at availability.

now the first 2 nights of the trip are gone. the oceanview was the only view we had a shot at and now that disappeared today. we are going for my birthday in june, so moving is not what we want to do, and in may the room is still not avail. its looking like we may just book bay lake and poly in wdw instead since there seems to be no hope

I just booked a 1 bedroom for June last week for nine days, at seven months. Upgrade to a 1BR if you can. Good luck!!
