Well, maybe I mis-read...Swear it said in there something about swinging by St.Louis. But that would be illogical and poorly planned and if it's anything we know about D, she never plans poorly.

I could swing over and do a meet in Chattanooga. ATL if I have to...but I avoid that like the plague.

So, Mo's shoes & D~'s snacks need a ride of their own, there's another part of the caravan.

If you're going in the fall, DH and I could possibly coincide at WDW anyway. Two years is a long time, though, so We'll Have To See.

I'm cool with everything that D and Mo have said about park plans and driving, etc. and meeting you in Indianapolis or Louisville or whatever works when plans need to be more firm.

And I'm all for sharing a room with terri!

Somebody somewhere said something about terri making shirts for the trip and since most of us love matching shirts, etc, I thought I'd throw that idea out again. I think it'd be fun to have matching shirts for our arrival day (or any part of the trip really)!

We could put something like this on the front

And it'd be sort of cool to put this on the back. We could compare what all we got done on the drive home!

Ok I admit it I have been suffering from Disney depression but this cheered me right up!

We just left a couple weeks ago and I already want to go back,

so the same resort sounds great because then we can hang at the pool too!

Raina and I will share a room but we could share with others to for cost reasons

Ok, I seriously want in! I'm just a little ways off of 75 near Atlanta, so I could meet wherever you're stopping around here. I haven't met any of the other DISers in person yet, but I'm open to whatever roommates.

As for roommates, I am open to sharing a room. So, a little bit about me:

I snore. I bring earplugs though. I like to be up and out the door and at the gates before opening and I mean I better be close to the gate. So, if you like to sleep in, then I will most likely be waking you up as I get ready (I would try to be quiet though). I hate Soarin', just saying. I don't know what kind of person that makes me.

I love the HDDR idea. Always wanted to try that.

So i see there are some questions on the route.

From Chicago 90- I-65 S,
I-24 E
and I-75 S
Exit 8 from FL-429 Toll S

Easy Right? we will be driving through some major cities on the way down.

This is such an easy drive -the Mountains are not a big deal as it was made out to be... I am kinda looking forward to seeing them in the daylight..

So please check out the route. Chime in if there are places we just HAVE To stop and eat..

I like meat. That's my only food requirement.

I talked to my kids last night about the trip and the possibility of me going without them. Chelsea was a bit put out, wasn't sure how she would get to dance if I wasn't there to drive her. I was expecting her to be upset that I was going away or that I was going to Disney without her...nope, she was just worried about her taxi service. So, I reassured her that I would take these 2 years and teach my adult children to drive so they can be her taxi service.

So, if there isn't enough people for a 2nd van, I can just fly to Orlando. Lots can happen in 2 years, so when we get closer, we can figure it all out.

As for roommates, I am open to sharing a room. So, a little bit about me:

D~, I don't want you to worry. I am a bit of a control freak, so I would want to make my own ADRs and itineraries. I am a bit worried. I have heard horror stories of linked friends on MDE and I don't want someone to be able to change my FP+ selections or my reservations. Not sure how that is all going to work. But, that is a worry for another day.

This is all perfect! I totally understand the need to plan Shannon... And I am really freaky about all of the same stuff... I am not sure how we will work this part yet, because as we all know - I have an obsession with PHotopass... we will figure it out - because we have to be able to do a share - somehow. BUt yes, each of us will plan our OWN trips - with only a couple overlapping meals - like HDDR...

OMG this sounds just AWESOME! Two years from now I'm sure I'll need a return trip to WDW, so I'll just follow along and when you have dates solidified I just might have to come down myself and say hello!

We probably won't solidify any dates for quite some time yet... So as of now - just block out ALL OF OCTOBER 2014... Mmm-kay?

Seriously Michelle.....we have to meet. We are like 15 mins from each other! Do you know any other DISers in ME? I know of Ann-Marie up near Augusta, but that's it. We should get together. At the very least....we'll have to meet when we have our annual DISmeet this Spring.

And yes...we can absolutely fly together! But I fly out of Manchester....Portland just has nothing convenient for flights, but at least we can carpool to MHT

As of now, I'm in. I know plans won't be made for a long while since prices won't be coming out for some time, etc. There is a chance that we will have already moved or will be moving to Florida at that time. But I'm definitely in if I can.

Okay, so this is how I see it. D~ with her head gear and special outfits with a little triangular flag of lime green on a loooong stick guiding a herd of 100 DISers all around the parks and begging the photographers for more magic shots of all of us. Now THAT would be epic!!

Mo, you are so right…I do need to get online more often. It's just such a time suck for me. I have no will power to step away once I start that slippery slope! But I promise to try to do better. And, yeah, I was thinking a funny book since you all are so quiet and reserved...

D~, I drove a 15 passenger van on our mission trip and I didn't need a special license. That was several years ago, but all we needed was to show our driver's license and proof of insurance at the rental place and we were good to go. Hope it hasn't changed!

I love how unstructured everything is planning to be. When we were there in September, we kept running into Mo and Nicole which was the best fun! I think it would be so great to bump into our DIS friends randomly all day. And I'm all for going to the MNSSHP! Best parade and fireworks ever!!!!

I haven't broken this news to Dan yet. He thought we were taking a break from Disney for 2016. Well, HE is, but not me! Wonder how many threads we'll end up with by the time we go??

If Lois is willing, I wouldn't mind rooming with her. After all, I slept in the same room with D~ in Chicago, and she snores too.

I used to drive a 12 passenger van before I drove a school bus, but that was 20 years ago. I could probably still handle a 15 passenger van.

So I'm thinking, I'd fly to Chicago, drive to Florida and then fly home. Hope the air fares are reasonable. If we are going in October, I'd love to go to MNSSHP.

I'm thinking we need to have some type of matching shirt - maybe lime green with "Epic Dis Trip" or something similar, with a Mickey head.

I completely agree with everyone planning their own days. Maybe breaking it up into groups of 2-4 people (we will probably break ourselves up by who we are rooming with and such) I missed A LOT of things that I wanted to do on our trip trying to accomodate the girls so I really want to do some of the thrill rides and mom is not really into those so I might need to find a new touring partner..........Terri? Lori? hahahahahahha

Poor Charlie!!!! At some point - we are going to have to do a BIG Dismeet where the DHs can come too... I'd love to meet all of your spouses! And it would give me a reason to drag Josh with. He might actually have a good time, if Tom is there.

That's kind of what I am thinking too Tess... I am thinking I will fly into Chicago... Drive down, then fly home... I cannot imagine doing that drive after a trip - I'd be too exhausted and just ready to be home.

I have a great coordinating costume idea for MNSSHP... I came up with it a couple of years ago - and I've been hoarding it ever since. The best part, is that it will work with as many or as few people who want to do it, and very easy to assemble.

Exactly Raina... It is going to be a blast - I think.

Yes, breaking up into groups - I think that would be perfect... And seriously - I am sure we will continually break off into other groups too... There will be rope drop people (ME!), and people who'd rather sleep in... I am flexible... I just want everyone to know that I want everyone to enjoy themselves - so we will not be trying to do Disney as a huge group.
