My mind is working fast and furious about this. I still think I have to fly down. I just can't take more than a week and to have 2 days driving each way, plus flying....just won't work. But. I think I can make 2016 work. If I surprise Bradey with a birthday trip next year (Nov 2015), then that is almost another whole year until this epic trip of trips. As long as I can save up the money so nothing has to go on the CC....I can't see why hubby wouldn't let me. Maybe I'll suggest he and Bradey take a boys trip somewhere that week. Ok, gotta start the trip fund(s)......anyone want some Avon? How about a ThirtyOne bag?? How about we just start a FundMe account for all of us!? Yay!

I am almost literally on the floor laughing. I am imagining such shenanigans on such a trip. I would love to be able to be a part of it but i dont think i would be able to swing it. There is potential but no guarantees. However, sign me up for a DISmeet in ATL! I dont mind the 1.5 hour drive to meet up with this group over dinner or lunch or even just a potty break. I am definately following along on the PTR. Dont want to miss anything!

Good morning Crazy Disers!!!

I am not planning on doing replies here every day like I normally do in my PTRs... There is just too much here to reply... And to be quite honest, my head is spinning, and this PTR has only been going for less than 24 hours.

Instead - I will update the master list on the first page... So please look that over, if you see any mistakes - please post them on this thread, so I see them... Don't PM me or anything like that. I will keep the posts on that page as up to date as I can...

Secondly... I will also update anouncements on the first page... I hope I don't come across as cranky - just please understand, I really want to make this trip work, and we have to accomodate a LOT of people and a LOT of logistics... We are ALL going to have to compromise a lot.

Please read: The one thing I won't compromise on is our trips at WDW... We are ALL going to be paying a LOT of $$ for the trip itself, and Dismeets are a lot of fun - but I am going to be there to enjoy WDW with my closest Diser friends... So please understand - I love doing Dismeets, but I am NOT a tour guide... So, if you are coming along on this trip - please be sure to know that I will not be connected to anyone's hip the entire time... be prepared to enjoy WDW on your own, with only a few planned activities. OK?

I don't want anyone going with the thought that I am going to be leading this big huge group around WDW... This is NOT how it will work. If we pass in the parks and we want to chat - or ride on a ride that's nearby - I am A-OK with that... I am a friendly person and I LOVE my Dismeets... but once that time is over - we will go our seperate ways.

Looking at a map, St. Lois connect directly to either Indianapolis or Louisville, both about a 3 1/2 hour drive. So I am thinking that Lori and myself would meet you ladies at one of those two stops.

Now the difference in those to stops (Indianapolis to Louisville) is less than 2 hours, so I don't see wanting to stop the big van group twice in such a short amount of time, so if anyone else wants to meet at one of those two stops to join in, or have a quick dismeet then we can make that the official stop!! Either would work for us!



Also, poor Lois saw my TR this am and thought she was left out! Silly lady! I have FB'd her and set her straight! She doesn't even realize she was already pre-reserved a spot in van #1!! Bless it!

I'm here!! (Thanks Terri!) I'm supposed to be cleaning my house before picking my sister and her hubby up from the airport in a couple of hours, but here I sit, just so excited about this trip!!!

Having gone on a mission trip that included five 15 passenger vans, let me just say, we put 10 people to a van and the rest was taken up with bags and snacks etc. Just sayin'. I don't want to be a butinski, just a thought.

I will probably fly into Chicago, but that could change. Any time in the fall would be fine with me. And I LOVE the idea of HDDR. I've never done it since Dan was never interested. One thing I know for sure is that I will be packing "depends" since I figure I'll be laughing so hard I'll need them. TMI?? Deal with it, ladies! Tell me I'm wrong.

I snore too, so I'm just putting that out there. Ear plugs are our friend when traveling. Thanks D~ for starting this PTR. I agree that we can all do our own thing. I'm looking for anyone who loves to ride all the thrill rides and loves to eat at BOG. This is going to be so fun!!!

Not sure where you all are getting the idea that we are going down through stl? In my original post, I said Terri was flying in to stl to meet up with Lori, they they were meeting us somewhere convenient... As in, on our route down... Maybe I didn't explain that well enough?

I guess if flying down is the only option for Suzi, then we'll have to take what we can get, right? But the drive down will be half the fun, I think., and I'd be truly bummed if she couldn't get in on part of that.

In all honesty if Suzi cannot make this trip i think to make it a different year. I was kinda hoping this was going to be our 2016 regular Dis meet?!?

Yep Pluggin my own Trip REPORT!!!

We have enough drivers that we could do that, but I really don't have any desire to do that much driving...

i don't either with this many people in a van i think we can do some serious miles.

I am guessing maybe 2-3 days on the road?

2 We have to keep in mind people and work. Like ME i cannot take that much off of work... Especially if i have something else planned with the kids.

Not sure that we will have the time for movie night at Connie's? Even though it would be a ton of fun!

They are a LOT of fun. So like Suzi said somewhere up there in the posts the LOG FLUME. started it, we needed to go to Disney together. One day...
I am having a real hard time even talking about going to Disney without my family...
(I have other things planned for us in 2015-2016 so this is making it a bit easier for me.. )

Then D~ started talking about a road trip to Disney while doing Dis meets! HOW COOL!

I have to agree with a lot of what D is saying here too. Yes we want to meet ALL OF YOU! YES we want to hang out with you. But can you imagine trying to plan a Disney vacation with this many people?!?!
we are not TA's!!!
we want to caravan down to Disney Pick up as many people as we can going! have a BLAST on the drive. oh the antics and shenanigans we will have!
This alone will = it's price in gold once we finally make it to Disney we will all go to where ever we will be staying.
We might drop off the van at some point too i don't want to have to pay for more days then needed.

my vote is for AoA for the two bathrooms and the spacious rooms they have!
but i am only 1 person. depends on cost i would assume. otherwise i would be on board for POR.

This is good advise.. i have to agree with it. Might need a u-haul for D~ and her wacky diet snacks she will bring.

From Chicago 90- I-65 S,
I-24 E
and I-75 S
Exit 8 from FL-429 Toll S

Easy Right? we will be driving through some major cities on the way down.

This is such an easy drive -the Mountains are not a big deal as it was made out to be... I am kinda looking forward to seeing them in the daylight..

So please check out the route. Chime in if there are places we just HAVE To stop and eat..

I talked to my kids last night about the trip and the possibility of me going without them. Chelsea was a bit put out, wasn't sure how she would get to dance if I wasn't there to drive her. I was expecting her to be upset that I was going away or that I was going to Disney without her...nope, she was just worried about her taxi service. So, I reassured her that I would take these 2 years and teach my adult children to drive so they can be her taxi service.

So, if there isn't enough people for a 2nd van, I can just fly to Orlando. Lots can happen in 2 years, so when we get closer, we can figure it all out.

As for roommates, I am open to sharing a room. So, a little bit about me:

I snore. I bring earplugs though. I like to be up and out the door and at the gates before opening and I mean I better be close to the gate. So, if you like to sleep in, then I will most likely be waking you up as I get ready (I would try to be quiet though). I hate Soarin', just saying. I don't know what kind of person that makes me.

I love the HDDR idea. Always wanted to try that.

D~, I don't want you to worry. I am a bit of a control freak, so I would want to make my own ADRs and itineraries. I am a bit worried. I have heard horror stories of linked friends on MDE and I don't want someone to be able to change my FP+ selections or my reservations. Not sure how that is all going to work. But, that is a worry for another day.

I agree too about StLois. If I have to fly to Chicago......which is just as far to fly as it would be to fly directly down there....then they can fly somewhere on the route too....right?

I thought we were talking 2018.....I'm not so sure I can do 2016. I have to skip this next year, so the next time I am able to take Bradey is 2016. And that would be the last time before he is a Disney adult. So I have to take him then.

How long a trip are we talking? If we are only taking a week for the whole thing, and driving down....that will take a couple days of that week. Plus flying......we won't have much time there.

I hate to miss all the driving craziness, but I really think I would have to fly down and meet you. It just doesn't make sense to fly west 3 hours when flying south 3 hours would put me there! I only have 2 weeks vacation....so I can't take more than a week. And even that is tough without my little guy. We'll see. Definitely interested. I would love to make it happen. But we will see. The timing kinda sucks for me

Well if you'll have me, I can be Suzi's flying buddy from Maine.. I'll room by myself as I might be able to talk a few other friends into coming along as well.. Just wan to say I feel that the beginning Oct is getting more hot and crowded (at least when I was just there 9/26 - 10-4) This sounds like a whole lotta fun!!! Michelle
