Just how many 15 passenger vans can we fill with Disers anyways?

I think i hear a sewing party! i really do want to learn. i have a sewing machine. last night i just had to hand sew one of Zack's pants in the knee would have looked so much better had i used a machine?!?! and faster.. spare time.. I think i have more this month then any month so far!!!

What do you mean Lois I think sewing one of the animals INTO a project would be fun! especially Stevie!!! :lmao:

Yes... Remember - I taught myself how to sew just fine... ----------> Learning to sew!

You can do it (so can you Suzi)... There are soooo many online tutorials and You Tube videos - you can totally do this. Besides... Look at how many Dis BFFs you have that can help you learn... Easy peasy. ::yes::

And yes... I expect a You Tube video if you make Stevie into a project... Maybe a couch pillow or something would be fitting? ::yes::

I should have taken video last night. He went berserk last night...

we were relaxing and watching something on TV when we hear a BAM upstairs. Zack went running up there to see what that sneaky B was doing.
he broke out of his cage.
He really wanted out.
Once he was let loose he was SPINNING in circles!!! Making his ferret warrior cry.. It was like watching the Tasmanian devil in real life.
Attacking anything in his way. Like hiding under the couch, he was on his back pulling himself out just a bit to see where he was then pull himself back in. i noticed he was getting closer and closer to Tom's feet.
then BAM he attacked Tom. ran back under the couch sliding all over hitting the walls to my couch to the corner where all his stuff is kept...
Matt and Meg wanted to go to bed. As we were going up Stevie noticed and started to follow us up the stairs. until he hit the gate going up.
he was jumping on the gate trying to follow up until i hit the gate with my hand. I scared the living day lights out of him and he fell backwards got up started his little noises again and started to roll down the stairs....
this happened about 5 times.. We LAUGHED TO HARD! he started to get wise and would scamper down the stairs backward to run back up at me..
I really wish i video tapped this.

OK enough about my ferret antics..

I THINK i have time today to sit and play with the machine!!! :cool1:

Try a pillow case. They're easy.

Then you can work up to a mug rug - it's a mini quilting project that you can make as simple or as complicated as you'd like. But you can do a lot of different skills and - here's the important part - it's finished quick. Usually. I have one sitting on my sewing table that needs binding. I keep forgetting it - distracted by other projects.

But I digress.

Mo CAN sew!!

We'll set up a cross-country chant for you.

I will probably drive my own van down to Disney...since I 'might' have to take Mr D with me...of course, in December I am taking my first trip without him...if he and dad are both still alive when I get back I may not have to take him!

ANYWAY!

I am definitely in!

And, no....there are very few pictures of me on the internet...by design! For some reason every time the camera gets near me it keeps taking a picture of a fat old lady (who looks remarkably like my mom), and I am not a fat old lady...well maybe I am, but I don't want to realize it!

Now back to finish reading....

Mo... Hahaha about Stevie - that dude is caaarazy!!!

I agree - Mo CAN sew!!! :woohoo: How'd it go?

And Nini... I just knew you'd be in on this trip!!! You'll have to caravan down with us, wouldn't want you and Mr. D to miss out on all the fun! :woohoo:

I'm so glad you're joining in! I'd love to meet you. Your sense of humor never fails to crack me up. I appreciate a dry wit!

I'm with you on the photos…only I see my GRANDMOTHER!!!:crazy2: So, it is well documented that when the camera comes out, I tend to disappear! I totally get it! I feel like I'm 20, so whoever that is in the mirror has no relation to me!

Mo, that story of Stevie is hilarious! I can totally picture all his antics! Never a dull moment around your house, that's for sure! Hope you had a great weekend. This morning I woke up to snow on the ground for the first time this year. I'm okay with that. I got my Christmas cards filled out and ready to mail Saturday, so I'm totally getting into that "mode". I know you hate the white stuff, but try to make the best of it so you don't go bonkers. Have a great day!!

If I saw my grandmother looking back I don't think I would be upset. Both my grandmothers were beautiful women...who never seemed to age even when they reached 90.

My great grand mother was a few months short of 100 when she died and could easily pass for someone half a century younger and had not a single gray hair on her head!

A little know fact about me...I have always looked much younger than my chronological age. At 18 I could pass for 12 (except that I was 5 foot 10 inches in the 4th grade). In fact, the last time I was carded I was over 50... so, to suddenly realize that this last birthday (the big 6 oh) caught up with me has really gotten to my vain sensitive side.

And you know how when you kook in the mirror, you don't always see the pounds that have crept up? Yeah...I saw them on the scale, but since I didn't 'feel' fat it never clicked... The bad thing is, I have actually lost a few pounds, but I look so much fatter now.

You put all that together and it really is a shock to my system! Add to that the fact that I tend to be a penny pincher and put off getting my hair colored a bit too long..and well, you get the picture!

But I am easy to spot...Just look for the fat ld lady acting like a teenager! (while it does embarrass my teenager...the older kids have grown used to it!)

PS... I seriously will get around to a proper introduction, just not today....

Stevie is a Nut.
I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO IN THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT!!! But thanksgiving first!!!

WOW sorry I have been MIA!!!! I have been unpacking boxes and getting settled in to our double wide in NC. Plus the girls have stayed over a couple times and of course we had their birthday party , life has been crazy lately!!!

I promiss to do better now that most of the boxes are unpacked!! Well guess I should follow the intro guidelines.........lol

1. Who am I ,I am Trish, mother of 4 natural children and 2 step. Raina is my only girl and Audrey and Evalyn only grandchildren. I have 4 fur babies, Ray Charles my blind rescue. Foot my little boy, Spice my little princess and Sugar the youngest but biggest! All 4 mini doxys. My husband Frank and I celebrated our 9th anniversary at WDW oct 5, the last day of our trip.

2. Touring Style- I am up at the crack of dawn, but do to sleepy grands didn't make rope drop much. I would everyday!!! I don't do coaster type rides, motion sickness and vertigo! I did go on space mountain don't care for WDW version sorry DL's is better. Went on small world 3 times, always loved that ride!
I planed my FPs for mornings so I could do what ever later. And hoppers because I like to visit 2 parks in the same day, keeps it fresh I think!

3. Favorite Park/Least Favorite Park - Magic Kingdom is my favorite, I have to start and finish there. And Hollywood Studios is my least fav. not that I didn't like it just not as much there I think.

4. Favorite Character - Tink all the way! But Minnie is on her heels.

5. Rides - Pirates, Small world and Peter Pan are must do's.

6. Food/Restaurants - Yes. I love them all.....I like to plan a couple breakfasts, but for the most part, I plan my big meal for either an
early lunch or late dinner. Some favorites are LTT, Akershus and Tusker house. I loved Bog for dinner but not lunch! I really want to try
Artist point!

Very much looking forward to this trip! The ride down sounds like so much fun..... I think Raina wants to fly into TN sounds fun to me too!
I really don't care for lonnnnng car rides so that would be just long enough. lol

Thanks for doing such a nice intro Trish! I am so looking forward to meeting you and Raina! I am so glad you are coming along on this trip!

As for the rest of you - some of you are writing TRs/PTRs... and others are not... Some of you are following my TR - but for those who aren't... (hehehe... Did you get all of that?)...

I just stopped by to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!

Oh HDDR my all time favorite restaurant how could I have forgotten that one, sheesh. Least fav was Fultons didn't like it even though I love sea food it was a bust! I heard they are taking it out though ,so guess I won't have to worry about that one.

Trish, I can't believe you left Ohio without our having met!! We were only 30 minutes away from each other!!! Of course I'm so happy for you that you are settled so close to Raina and the girls. I hope you are enjoying spending the holidays with them. How exciting!

Wishing all of our 15 pass. van people a wonderful, magical Christmas and may 2015 be your best yet!!

Bahahaha... Annnnd the dream lives on!

And I thought I didn't have a trip to plan? :scratchin

Who's still in?

D~

Me! I'd have to work something out with the hubs but still at the very least a DISmeet in Atlanta. I think I could swing a few days in Disney but I couldn't be gone for a whole week or anything. I would probably have to see what y'all come up with and then jump on board. But since I'm a newb I think it's acceptable!

Let's get this thread going again D! I'm in! October would be a great month for me:)
