How cold is it today (december 8th) at the parks? Do you have to change your plans based on the weather.

Well the high today is in the low 50's...luckily the wind is low..

I know all the waterparks have closed for both yesterday and today.

Its not so much the cold, its a cold that goes RIGHT through you..a very moist cold..There was a layer of frost this morning on my windshield...and everyone was out scraping...:scared1:

Never been to florida outside the summer travel seaon. We thought about going but wasen't sure if it would be warm enough. Even thou we have snow and in the 20's were used to it. On vacation and having to wear a coat and long pants, I woulden't be happy.

The sun is shining and the sky is bright blue, it's just cold (my TV says it's 50 degrees out at this moment)! The weather wouldn't change any of my plans, but I'd just dress accordingly by wearing layers.

I would take the weather they are having now over ANY summer weather in Florida. Keep in mind I don't like the heat at all and the cold weather rarely bugs me.

Glad your having fun at Disney. Are the crowds thinned out because of the cold weather ? Anyone in shorts ?

I leave tomorrow for Disney and I will be at MVMCP tomorrow as well.

My friend is there currently and says it is VERY COLD. Dress in many layers!

I was at Disney on Saturday and everything was very busy, but things are always busy around the holidays.

It's supposed to be cold most of the week and may warm up this weekend. This time of year is difficult to predict. It can be beautiful one day and very cold the next. Yes, summer is hot, but it's consistent.

I get asked all the time how we can bear to go in July/August...... honestly-we're some of the strange ones that enjoy the heat!!! LOL! I'd be so disappointed to not be able to use Stormalong Bay or go on Kali & Splash Mtn if we were there during a cold spell!!! :rotfl:

I live 20 milea from WDW
The highs this weekend are suppossed tp be in the low 70's

23 miles from Epcot here and it got up to 53 today. I'm going to the parks tomorrow as it is supposed to bump 60. Headed back north for the holidays on Friday.

We're heading up to the World this weekend. It is cold down here in South Florida, too. Here is what the Weather Channel is calling for this weekend in Orlando:

Fri Dec 10 74°/52°
Sat Dec 11 78°/54°
Sun Dec 12 74°/35°
Mon Dec 13 45°/23°
Tue Dec 14 55°/32°

Well, we're going for a 5-day trip in the next few days as well. I'm pretty disappointed at some of the colder days that are predicted, but it's still better than the frigid weather here in PA!

Hoping to get a swim at the AKL pool during one of the warmer days. My signature picture is my favorite place in the world.

Started out with 3 layers at 10 am at epcot. We are going back tonight and trying two layers. Hopefully we will meet dan murphy.

I've been there in January, and aside from having to wear extra for the marathon weekend (because it is dark and cold at 4 am), most days were still jeans and T-shirts. I think I packed a long sleeve shirt, but don't recall that I had to wear it.

(OTOH, it is below 32 here. I go outside in jeans, t-shirt, and a long sleeve flannel, which I don't bother to button. If I am driving, I might have gloves. I don't bother with a coat, aside from church, until it hits 0 or so. YMMV.)

I was at WDW last week where on Tuesday it was over 80 and come Wednesday AM, it was about 40! when we got up. Went from t-shirt/shorts to about 4 layers in just 12 hours! Don't whine about the temps there - the forecast for next Monday/Tuesday nights is 5 degrees!!!! That's cold, even for Western Mass, in December.

However, another cold front will move through on Sunday and possibly trigger severe weather. The low on Tuesday is supposed to be 28 degrees.
