Just how bad is MK on X-mas?

This year MK will be the extra hour of magic park of the day. Last year we were there from 12/22-26 and the parks were not bad to us. We went to MK on Sunday and rode everything before 10:00. Of couse it opened at 7:00 am that morning. Would Jan. 1-6 be a better time to go?

The days after NYs tend to see decreasing attendance in the parks each day you get farther away from January 1. Historically the week between xmas and Nys is the buisiest days of the entire year for WDW.
Have to say that the parks can be manageable early on xmas day but the closer it gets to lunch the more crowded it gets. MK especially usually fills to capacity by 11am. Sounds like you had a great attitude about the crowds and lines you expected so you just went about your visit. More need to take this great advice when visiting during the holiday week.
