Just how bad is Delta's outlook for a February 2007 trip??

Previously I had decided that I was going to book flights for our Feb 2007 trip on JetBlue, but now I see that Delta has much better flight times, not to mention the fact that we'd save about $50. per person. The price isn't the relevent issue, it's the fact that Delta has the better times.

Just how unsure is Delta's future, especially for a trip in Feb of 2007?? :confused3

I have a trip booked on DL to London in March 07. Unless there is some major catastrophe in the travel industry I would not be worried at all (and if there is then all bets are off for everyone)

I've been booked on Delta for February of 07, since the days the flights were made available. I'm not worried about it at all.

As long as the travel insurance underwriters aren't selling travel insurance on Delta flights, then I'll steer clear of Delta.

Yeah, but they also aren't selling NW and others... in some cases you may not have a choice. (For example Knoxville, TN DL is the big carrier there so your options are limited if you don't go with them. Lots of places in the state of Minnesota, GA, AL, etc are served ONLY by carriers in bankruptcy)

This is a great point, I never thought of that!

I just flew in and out of Knoxville TN. They're served by American as well. It's a bit out of the way if I was coming from Atlanta, but if I'm purchasing tickets long in advance, that's the way I'd go. Otherwise, I would wait to purchase tickets until shortly before my trip. That's me, though.

I have my Orlando flight booked for FEB '07................... crossing my fingers. If something happens I will just re-book with another flight and reward myself with a longer trip! HA!

I got a really good rate on Air tran for my Feb 2007 trip.... $197 nonstop Bos to MCO and the flight time was good to.......check them out :cool1:
