We were in the park last week tuesday night, all day wednesday and thursday and saturday morning. It was my mom, my bf and myself. We stayed at the Embassy Suites south.... very nice! I loved the lion and the omelettes.

We ate at the Blue Bayou one night and it was worth every cent. We also did F! seating and it was also worth every cent! Bf ate the entire snack box within five minutes, then dropped it on accident so he was brought a new one and ate some of that... then the show started 15 minutes later! Needless to say, he spent the rest of the night complaining about how sick he felt but he didnt know why... :rotfl:

The crowds were PACKED! At night it was sooo difficult to walk... we were taking baby steps throughout the park:scared1:

We utilized FPs and trying to arrive early. We got in our favorite rides at least 3 times! It was amazing...

I just wanted to thank everyone for all the great advice. Without you, I would have missed out on a lot of things that made our trip so very special. :wizard:

We all ordered salad with the vinegerette dressing, it was great. My boyfriend had the salmon for his entre. My mom and i did the split plate fee for the surf n turf, she had steak, I had lobster. It was delicious! I had a piece of her steak, very tender and very good. I wouldn't try the salmon (I hate fish) but he said it was good.

We were there for my bfs birthday, and he was brought a free chocolate moose with a candle in it. It was so cute! It tasted amazing. It had sprinkles and one big edible mickey head, but i nearly broke my tooth trying to bite it. I would recomend not eating it, it was like sucking on a rock. :rotfl:

My mom and I decided we wanted to try the creme brulee and it had two vanilla creme brulees and the cookie treasure chest. The cookies and the creme brulee were great as well. The treasure chest said edible on it, but it looked like the same thing the mickey head was made out of, so we decided to save it. It survived the trip home easily (like I said, a rock) and it is now in my room where I can look at it and smile :yay:

We showed up 20 minutes early for our 6:50 reservation and requested waterside seating. We were seated not long after in a great spot, unobstructed by trees. We really took our time and even waved at a few boats for fun. We were a little surprised by how many people talked to us from the boats. Well, yelled things at us such as "Ello govna" and "Toss me some steak!". We ignored....

Our waiters name was Dennis I believe... He was very kind and helpful. When we wanted to do the split plate fee he mentioned that we could just split the entree for free. I thought that was pretty cool. But I wanted the 12 dollar salad! :rotfl:

Overall, it was an amazing experience and well worth the money. I thought that the split plate fee was worth it to get my own salad and it looked like a meal in itself anyway. I would definitely go back anytime.

I just made reservations at BB for our first day at DL. I could see DW and I splitting the surf and turf. Question -- is it a pretty good sized steak, or smaller because you also have lobster? I ask because I have a healthy appetite, and I'd just order the filet by itself if the one in the surf&turf is a lot smaller. Thanks.

Would you ever consider doing a trip report in the other forum?

Grandbob - The steak was small but very thick. My guess would be 10 ounces. There are also a lot of sides and so we all felt pretty stuffed.

Doctor419- At first I read this wrong I believe. I'm going to assume you asked because you are interested and not because you are annoyed that I posted in the wrong forum. I hope I'm right :)

I have considered doing a full trip report, I just need to wait until I can get all of my pictures.

Mary Jo- Thank you we really did! It was nice to have a great experience at the Blue Bayou because to be honest after we made reservations I read many negative reviews that made me nervous.

Thanks for the reply! I also am glad to read a good review of the BB, and glad you had a good time.

Thank you! I hope your experience is as wonderful as mine was :goodvibes

I would be interested in your review when you get back!
