Just Hold On, We're Going Home...All 11 of Us Are Going to Mickeystoontown's Home! Update 10/27

I love Muppetvision too and don't understand why people skip it. As many times as I've seen it I always notice something new.

So many things gone at DHS, makes me a tiny bit sad. I really miss the drawing class but Launch Bay was a ton of fun when we were there in January. I'm sad to say I never stopped to watch a Mulch Sweat and Shears show and now I will never get too.

Ugh, RnRC! It's funny because I love the launch part, just not the rest of the ride. It's too rough for me and I usually come off feeling banged up and a little nauseous. Of course it's my Mom's favorite so I will be riding it in December.

OK, that Monkey mermaid is creepy. I've always walked straight through that holding room into the theater so I've never taken the time to look around.

Love the Muppet show! I'm really glad they did not get rid of it too like half of HS. I wouldn't mind an updated movie but still Muppets. I'm pretty sure that area has already been renamed on the HS maps. I also read a rumor today that Pizza Planet will be reopening as Pizza Rizzo.

All caught up! I went all the way back to rainforest installment this time and I have to agree that rainforest and t rex are 2 of my favorite Disney restaurants.

I enjoyed your boardwalk pics, esp since we just talked about that yesterday.:D I hope I get to see it first hand next year! Fingers crossed!

Loved your title to the Muppet installment...vacuumuppet. So cute!

Can't wait to hear all about the newest trip. You guys are so full of adventure so I know you will have an amazing time!

I miss Mulch Sweat and Shears! I always get asked about my MS&S shirt up here and Indiana, I take the opportunity to spread the word! I miss all of the old things at DHS but can't wait for all the new opportunities!

Me too! Don't know why people just walk right by it.

I'm sad about the whole change up at Hollywood Studios. I know that I'll like the "new" version but I am sure going to miss the old standbys.

I saw that rumor too! I think that it is a great idea.

I don't think that you can go wrong with either of your resort choices. Both look fantastic!

You already know how excited we are about our upcoming trip!

I so wish that I had one of the MS&S shirts!

Lisa incase I miss you on here have a wonderful time...if I see you at CBR I will mostly definitely come say hi. Many congrats to Hunter graduating you must be one proud Momma :) Safe trip and honk that horn in the Mobile tunnel for me! LOL

Caught up!
So sorry about your Aunt. My Uncle passed on Friday and we had the funeral yesterday. It was so sad, but he was almost 81, so he had a good long life. It was nice to see a lot of the family that I haven't seen in years.

I really should get to Disney Quest before they close it but not sure that will happen. We do plan to spend a little bit of time in Disney Springs in Oct. but I have limited time so I guess we'll see how the day goes.

In case I don't get back to your post in time, I hope you guys have a wonderful and safe trip, and a big congrats to Hunter on his graduation!!!!

Feels like I stepped back in a time machine! Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Things look so different now!

It was busy! I'm talking wall to wall folks so we just watched the short video Mushu video (one of John's favorites...

Wow, I usually don't encounter too many crowds in there.

At the time of our visit, we had no idea that Mulch, Sweat & Shears would be cut from the Hollywood Studios entertainment line-up. Had I known, I'd have made sure that we caught more than just the one performance.

Look, this menu has legs! Four of 'em!

Well, sure. It says "turkey legs" right there.:rolleyes1

Have you ever noticed this weird mer-monkey in the holding room?

Can't say that I have. That is weird.

The parents did nothing but bounce little infant and didn't even pay much attention to the other child. They just let them both cry and cry and cry until they were all sweaty and you could tell miserable.

:sad2: Please, for everyone else's sake, take them out!

If you've never really looked around in the pre-show area, you should! Pay particular attention to the labels/writing on the props too.

Yes! I love all the jokes in there.

You can see in the picture that the theater wasn't full and the cast member actually said to choose a seat (and didn't say "move all the way across the theater to make room for other guests").

:eek::faint:

You must be on your way!! Enjoy your trip and hope it goes by r-e-a-l s-l-o-w!!

Guess you are at your happy place and loving life right now! I am sure that Hunter's graduation was really nice and everyone is ready to PARTY!! Looking forward to updates.

I hope your having a good time! I also wanted to let you know I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt.
We've never been to Disney Quest. I've always heard it wasn't worth the money but your report made it look like fun. Maybe if its still open in Nov. I'll take River on our check out day before we head home. Are you going again this time?

Hello all! We have been back from our trip a week now and things have been chaotic to say the least. We arrived home last Sunday morning about 1 a.m. and that afternoon, I received a phone call that my boss had died. They aren't sure yet what happened but they believe a heart attack. In one moment of time, I lost my friend, my boss and my job. This past week at the office has been so "weird". That's the only way that I can describe it. I'm there taking care of business (along with three attorneys appointed to close out the office) but my boss isn't there. I'm going through the motions and am assuring all of our clients that things are going to be okay but, yet, they aren't. I can't abandon the clients. I just can't.

My boss's family will continue to pay me until we get things all settled which could take up to a month. After that? Well, I'm not sure. I have my Etsy shop, ShopMickeystoontown, and I've become a certified Disney travel agent and should have my business up and running soon. But I've got to find a job in the legal field as those two "jobs" simply support my Disney habit.

To top things off, John found out on Monday that his employer is closing the business. No warning. Nothing. John knew that I had so much on my plate that he didn't tell me until three days later. Bless his heart, he was dealing with it all on his own. He is supposed to talk with another company on Monday (someone that he has worked for many many years ago) and should go to work that same day. The last few days at his current (or actually not current as of yesterday) employment was tense. Lots of flared tempers and lots of hurt feelings.

If you are the praying kind, I'll gladly take any prayers that you can send up for our family. If you want to just put out some good mojo into universe for us, we'll take that too.

Soooooooooo......Things have been rough. Really really rough. I haven't even had time to reflect upon our trip. I can tell you all that Pop Century wasn't for us. Once the novelty wore off, we were done. Three nights was all that we could handle. I very gladly forked over the $186.00 that it cost to move to Caribbean Beach for those extra three nights. We did run into some snags along the way but, overall, it was a great trip.

Once things settle down a bit, I'm going to get back to work on this trip report and organize pictures from this trip. I NEED to escape from reality and write about my happy place.

Oh wow, Lisa, I am so sorry! One of those things is enough but to have to deal with multiple things one after the other... I will definitely be keeping you and your family in my prayers (your Boss's family too). :grouphug:

Sorry you didn't care for POP, glad you were able to move over to CBR.

I'll be here waiting when you are ready to jump back into this TR and when you start your new one. :-)

Oh no Lisa I sooo sorry to hear about your boss and your jobs! Sending prayers and good mojo  I hope things turn around soon and I'm glad Lacey and Jesse are close now. Ill be thinking of you.

I'm so sorry for all that has happened. You will be in my prayers. I truly believe things will work themselves out. Hang in there!!
