Just hit 60 day mark...made FP+...wow!

Just...wow! Now I know what some of the complaints here are all about! I went to the site at midnight of my 60 day mark- along with my easy wdw site calendar open and the Dibb site showing availability (wow that's an amazing site!)..... All I wanted was a 7dwarves train ride for my DH,who didn't get to ride it last trip b/c of the lines..... But all availability was gone for the first 6 days of our trip! I got what I wanted, b/c we have a long-ish trip planned,and I just grabbed a time on the backend of our trip...but !!! If you're going for a shorter stay this new 'system' doesn't work in your favor AT ALL! That said, just sharing my experience.... I got what we wanted,and it's fine but as noted,I can see why so many people are shocked at the lack of choices so far ahead of their trip!

I knew going in what was available so I wasn't too disappointed. We've got a pre-park BOG so I'll just catch 7DMT then, although I do also have a fp+ for my last day. The plus of everyone going for all the "must haves" is there were great times available for other rides. I got the perfect time for TSM. The only thing I was worried about was website glitches but it worked really well last night. I was done within about 15 minutes, totally anti-climactic.

Can someone give me more information about this DIBB site? I googled it and came up with a UK site only and I don't see where in there to view FP+ availability. Thanks!!

It's so weird that last October, when 7DMT was still very new, I was able to get FP+ for it no problem and we only were in WDW for two days (so we didn't have the benefit of having an extra-long trip and back-ending popular FP's). And now this fall people are reporting those FP are so hard to get.

My only guess is that more people are using the FP system than last year. Nothing else makes much sense.

It can be unavailable 5-6 days out past 60 days. It depends on when you plan to go. Check the Dibb site mentioned above.

How many people are you trying for? It's always easier the lower the number. I'd say you have a decent chance but I highly recommend starting with Day 66 right at midnight and put in your 3 choices quickly. Don't even try for your first few days in the park. The A&E ones will be gone and you would have wasted time.

It all depends on how crowded the parks are that week. Maybe yes, but also maybe no.

I do plan to hit that day first thing at midnight. It will be my day 7. We are a family of 5, but if I had to do 4 and my husband or I stayed back so the kids could go with just one of us I have that as an option. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best Thanks for all the information!

It varies by when you're going to the park. I've gotten 7DMT a few times at 30 days or less. It's still an extremely popular FP so it goes quick during busy seasons at the park

It pays to work backwards when booking. Additionally watch for change of hours that may happen if the park opens early or later new availability shows up. Another tip is to check in around day 44 or 45 when payments are due. If folks booked and decide not to go some stuff pops up.

On the flip side of this when you are at disney and decide not to use a FP release it or change it to something else then somebody can use it. We changed an A&E a day before and Im hoping some family got a surprise

I just did mine as well iv been changing them a lot already lol heres mine as of right now feedback is welcome:
day 1(arrival day my plane lands at 11am so im giving my self til 3 to get to the park) 3 watch festival of fantasy and then go straight to meet mickey, i did fast pass meeting mickey mostly because i want that to be the first thing i do and do it quickly so i can go explore.

Agreed, we went last October for 4 days, had no problem getting 7DMT. Was there again a month ago, had no trouble getting 7DMT for 3 different days. Going again in November, can't get 7DMT at all :-(

I got It for November 16 and our trip start November 9. I have a great hour! I am super lucky for all my fast pass and can choose The Time i wanted

Great point. I think last year many were still not fully booking their fast passes at 60 days but now they are. But like some said, there were some available the week before. I think their will still be some FP+ available week before, day before, day of - as people make changes. you just have to be persistent and stay on top of it.

But there also seems to have a been a big spike in complaints about a lack of 7DMT availability for people going from mid-November on. It's odd. We're going in October and while A&E was totally "sold out" at 60 days, 7DMT was relatively easy to get and we have it on each of our MK days. I didn't even book one of those days until after the 60 day window for it opened, and that was the first day of the trip.
