Absolutely! I have a difficult time bringing myself to say "Disney's Hollywood Studios" because it will always be Disney-MGM Studios to me. So I use the shortcut "Studios", too.
My favorite is when people want to know about O'Hanas. Ok genius, please tell me exactly how an Irish eatery would fit with the theme of the Polynesian resort?!?!?!
tourist: where does this bus go? driver: Magic Kingdom. tourist: as he hops on.......oh good, could you drop me off at Epcot...................oh yes i was there.............he got educated and back down to the platform..........and i cant count how many times i have heard people missing ADR's because they were on a bus going to the wrong destination, sometimes they get a bit frantic.
One of the little boys I work with said that. He came back from the school holidays and I asked him where he had been. 'I've been to Disneyland' 'In Paris?' 'No in Florida!'
Then I looked at his holiday photos. 'Oh look, you're at Epcot', 'No i'm not, I'm at Disneyworld!'
Oh I agree. We all had to learn the correct Disney terminology at one point in our lives.
Whenever I hear a friend misspeak something about Disney, I just hug that person and tell that person that they are not Disney educated and that person will learn. But then I look like a genius because I am "Disney educated" and know all the correct terminology.
But it is rather sad that a news organization can't get their facts straight. Don't they have fact checkers....
