My guide Jim just called and told me that he is hoping that NY will be approved by mid-July. He said he will call me the day he gets word that NY can buy so if I hear something before I see it posted I will make sure to post. Can't wait!!
Spoke with my guide on Friday. She said the 75 dollar per point price will remain in effect until NY is approved for any NYers who had previous contact with DVC sales before the price increase.
Just an FYI -- I spoke to my guide and he said that you (a NY'er) had to be in touch with DVC and in the system before June 1st -- I am sooooooooo upset because the day I called was June 14 so I missed it by 2 weeks to get the $75.00 per point.
I would have bought more points than I plan on.
Assuming NY gets approved for BCV add-on this month, would the added points be applied to the current or next use year. For example, I'm a December use year. If I added on now, would I be getting December 2002 or December 2003 points, even though I'd have to pay retroactive dues if the points were for December 2002? Makes a big difference in planning ahead.
I think they would be December of 02. My sister purchased points for the first time and was sold February 02. When I spoke to my guide, I was told that since I already owned a September use year, an add on at the Beach Club would be September 02 ponts. It would probably be the same for you.

An add-on at BCV for those with a Dec Use Year would get Dec 2002 points on Dec 1, 2002. These are NOT retroactive points since you won't get them until this Dec. You will pay dues on only the 1 month for this year on the points.
There are no 2001 points for BCV. The earliest points were from Feb. 2002 when sales began.
