Just heard door came off monorail at Grand Floridian

My kids are in Disney and called me to tell me the door fell off the monorail at Grand Floridian. No one was hurt but monorail was shut down. Not sure if or when it was back running.

A motorized scooter hit it and it became unhinged, Monorail lime. They had it fixed w/in a few hours.

Supposedly they were waiting to board the monorail with a child on their lap (you know the safe way to ride an ECV-eyes rolling) and they accidentally gunned it an rammed the door.

I'm disappointed that the early online reports of this made it sound like an instance of the monorails falling apart.

Well, while not the reason for this, they are falling apart.

Yes, so there are enough opportunities to raise that when it is the issue. I was disappointed that some people went there without knowing, and in this case they were wrong.

A door opened up I think on the Epcot line.

In this case the door was rammed and damaged by an ECV and during repair it apparently fell off. A very different scenario.
