Just have to say that I love RV-ing

So, I'm at the 180 day mark for our Christmas trip. There seems to be a problem with the reservation system and folks (including myself) are having a hard time booking beyond the first day of their trip, as noted on a thread in the restaurant board. Since I have my multi-day Christmas reservation built a couple of days at a time I was able to make a couple of reservations, but I'm not having luck with Christmas day.

HOWEVER, because we're RV-ing, I'm not terribly stressed out about it. If we end up preparing something special ourselves, so be it. I know I'm a lot more calm about it than I would be if we were in a hotel! If we don't go to a restaurant, we don't go to a restaurant, no biggie :)

With you 100%!

Ain't RVing great? Nothing better than taking your vacation home with you on all of your vacations, no matter where you go :cool1:

The flexability is one of the many great things I enjoy about RVing and FW. We are just 191.5 days out from departure day. We are already discussing what we want to do and where we want to eat while there.

So glad you guys know what I'm talking about! Such a benefit of bringing your condo with you! We like to do a lot of our meals at the campsite, but sprinkle in a few meals out for some special stuff. I did decide to call Disney Dining to see about breakfast on the 25th and got a reservation for Whispering Canyon - a nice bike ride over should be perfect after we open some gifts :) I love that path between the resorts! Not that we couldn't make our own breakfast and just take a bike ride ;) But SOME of the members of my family need incentive to get off their fannies ::yes::

We also do the mix of eating in and dining out, including a few planned breakfast together (and a trip to trails end for Mickey Waffels.) So far on the must list is Raglan Road, I want us to do lunch at the SciFi theater in HW, and I think someone else found a place they want to dine at. The good thing is while we are 3 families traveling together (3 sites), we all are pretty flexible and even take turns making dinner for the nights in.

Thanks for the Sci-Fi mention, Jbrostek! I think my DS would like that place now that he's old enough to appreciate old monster movies and the cool setting - I'll add that to our list!

A friend posted pictures on their trip and I thought, you know I always talk about it and never go. This year I will plan on going!
