Wow, I looked through all of my receipts from our shopping trip this weekend with a bit of a "I SPENT WHAT???" thought in my mind...Until I actually saw ALL of the stuff I got for all these receipts!
My girls needed new spring and summer clothing this year! Definately my 8 year old who has worn out or grew out of 90% of the things she wore last year!
I started my shopping at the mall on Sat. with 10 separate $10 off of $10 or more from JcPennys, Various percents off at different stores like Macy's, Children's place, Gymboree and Kohls...and HIT the clearance racks and all the good sales.
I spent a total of $136.90. Yeah, LOTS of money- and that's just for the clothing/shoes that I bought- has nothing to do with food and grocery!
I looked at all I got for that! HOLY COW, I got more deals this weekend than I have in a long time. But I didn't just BUY because I got deals, I bought because we needed certain things to get us through the spring and summer and if I didn't buy now, I would have had to spend MORE money later to get it all!
For that $$$$ all my stuff is a good brand, bought at some HUGE discounts (Yonker's had 80% off their LOWEST marked price!!!) Here's what I got: 7 dresses (girls), 3 skirts, 7 pants/capris/shorts, 8 shirts, 4 full outfits, 2 pairs of shoes, 2 pair of sunglasses for my girls, 2 pairs of gloves (next winter), 10 pairs of underware, 4 shirts for myself, and 2 shirts for my hubby. (averages about $2.70 per item, when regular price for some of these things was well past $30-$40 each!!!)
We had a lot of fun trying everything on and making sure we liked the styles and that they actually looked good on us before we bought anything! I am a firm believer that we do NOT bring things into this house unless we actually will wear them- I don't care HOW CHEAP things are, that rule stands FIRM!!!
Anyone else get any good deals this weekend???? I was so excited, I just had to share!
