Awhile back I posted on whether or not I should host a Pampered Chef party and y'all said YES! Well, it was tonight and it was really fun!

Only a couple of my friends showed up (3 cancellations all within an hour of the party and one no show), but I still had over $300 in sales and two people booked a party. So I got the deluxe cheese grater free, the pocket thermometer free, and two cookbooks (one small and one large) free, my food chopper half off, and a large round stone & a handy scraper 20% off. And after the ladies have their parties, I get a 9x13 baker for free! I only spent $39.25 out of my pocket and a nominal amount for food- most of it I already had on hand.

I highly recommend having a Pampered Chef party! :D

Glad you had a good time, makes me want to book another party!:D

I've been selling PC since 1995 and recently became inactive, but I can tell you that I've had all types of shows from Tupperware to Southern Living and Creative memories and Stampin' Up and PC has the best hostess benefits. It almost makes me want to start again so I can get my discount.

If anyone wants anything or to do a Catalog Show, please let me know and I'll help you get as much as you can.

Thanks

I love PC!! I have so many of their items and most of them I received free or discounted due to having parties. I love my stones & 9 x 13 baker! I don't even own a regular cookie sheet anymore, I always use my stones!

Have fun with your new toys!

How fun! YOu'll love the chopper. I had my original chopper for 7 years and used it daily. Well, it kinda fell apart in the dishwasher and I had to wait about year to replace it since, we were tight on money with our kitchen remodel. Boy, I love that chopper. Have fun.

Alice28 - congrats on the show! You will love all your products! Stoneware and the Food Chopper - my favorites that I talk about all the time!

Consider hosting again in Oct/Nov when people are holiday shopping. Those shows are always high in sales which means more free products!

Yes, I think I will LOVE the food chopper. DH chose the cheese grater- he watched 5 boys for me, all 7 and under, while the party was going on...he was also intrigued with the garlic press and I'll get that another time, along with another stone I think.

I must say, as now a "former" CMC, Pampered Chef is the BOSS at how to reward their hosts. I always tried to do a little extra for my hostesses, but nothing compares to what PC does for theirs. And the fact they don't have to have an inventory OR deliver the products when they come in is a real bonus. I was impressed.

Can I be nosey? Do you no longer sell CM then? I've been tossing around the idea for so long but I wonder if I really could make a go of it. My DH thinks it's a terrible idea by the way. He feels the market is too saturated around here for it to be profitable. We live in a real small town and there are at least 5 CMC that I know of for sure.

Alice28 - The Host Benefits are awesome, aren't they? You should think about being a TPC consultant. The market is huge - everyone eats! :p PM or e-mail me if you are interested and I can get you some info.

Well, what can I say here...I would recommend becoming a CMC IF the following appeals to you:

You KNOW you have enough scrappy friends and contacts (church group, work, friends) to make the $350 minimum every 3 months.

You are outgoing and would feel comfortable talking about the product and business to a lot of the people you know AND come in contact with.

Or, if you just want to do the bare minimum and cancel- get the $195 starter kit, buy $500 retail ($350 your cost) in products in the first 30 days for you and your friends and then cancel. If you are going to do, I highly recommend doing it this month as you get an extra $80+ in products (Tanzanite Album is one of them!).

I really, *Really* tried to make a go of it and it just didn't work for me. I am not a salesperson by nature/training/schooling, nor do I have a desire to be a salesperson. I just loved the product and thought I knew enough people to make the minimum.

I still do love CM products, and plan on buying their albums and adhesive for as long as I continue to scrapbook (forever!). I am just relieved to not do it anymore. I am liquidating my inventory and now my customers are coming out of the woodwork to buy. That's what I liked about the Pampered Chef- she said she doesn't keep an inventory- that's a nice perk. CM doesn't tell you that you HAVE to, but come on- don't you hate it when you NEED pages, protectors, adhesive, paper and your CMC doesn't have any??

I too love PC! I have their stones and use them all the time! Plus a bunch of other things! I really want that chopper...may be time to have a party for the spring!
Alice, Sorry to hear it didn't work out.

I tried or I should say signed on to Sell Scrap in a snap luckily they had a "hobbiest" consultant so you didn't have to order as much stuff but I found even with my discount it wasn't worth it. People don't like to buy if they can't feel or touch the products. I know when I go to a crop I like that I can buy the paper or tape runner when I run out...

I'll tell you that in March for Pampered Chef, the Scrapers are all on sale! And in April, the Barbecue Tools and Accessories are on special. In May we have the Help Whip Cancer campaign. This year there will be 4 pink products and money will go to the American Cancer Society's Breast Cancer Early Detection and Education Programs.

So if you want to host a show, that's what's coming up for guests. The Host Bonus for March and April are pretty awesome, too. Don't have May's info yet, but will have it on Monday.

I love all of the PC stuff too. My mom just scheduled a party for March so I will probably book off of her and let her get some more free stuff!!
