Just got upgraded- will we need new docs?

Just got a call from the TA on Sat. We were upgraded by disney to a cat 5 from a 7. We are thrilled with the change in cabins. But the cruise is soon- 9/11. We are leaving this Wed to drop off our daughter at college then drive to FL. The TA is calling disney tomorrow to see if we will get new docs or not.

Has this hapen to anyone one else? We are first time cruisers so are not sure how this system works. Should I change our luggage tags or will our luggage get sent to the old room? Luckly our old cabin is on the same deck.

I am in semi-panic mode. Gettin DD ready for college and us ready for our trip. If you see a van with stuff hanging off all sides of it and three people crammed into it, wave, it is us.

We were just contacted and given an upgrade for our 9/14 cruise (from Cat 6 to Cat 4) and they told my husband just to change the cabin # on our luggage tags and we'd be all set. I must admit we, too, are thrilled...but suprised to be upgraded so close to the trip!

We've been following that thread, too. Aren't there a couple of Weddings on CC while we're there?? I can't believe it's almost here I am beginning to think the ship isn't coing to be that full. VERY different from when we usually cruise in March! See you on board!

We were upgraded in May of this year and found out while we were at the Poly (during the land part of our land/sea vacation). The only thing we had to do was change our stateroom number on our luggage tags. All of our bags were waiting outside of our door when we got to our room so we had absolutely no problems and enjoyed the upgrade!

Wow, upgraded from Cat. 6 to Cat. 4. That's great!! I have a Cat. 5 for my 12/27/03 cruise. Most people said that it is a pretty slim chance that this Cat. would be upgraded. How lucky for you. Enjoy!!!!!!

I KNEW I could get all the info I needed here on this board. It is great when we can all pass on our knowledge in different areas to others. I am glad I can stop worrying about the docs. I will just get out a sharpie and change the tags.

I am also on the 9/14 cruise (my first). Yes, I believe there are 2 weddings on Castaway Cay when we are there. One of the weddings is at 10am. Not sure of the time of the other. I plan to try and catch a glimpse of the 10am wedding. I can't even imagine trying to prepare to go on a vacation and try to remember everything I would need for a wedding also. I bet it will be something to remember.

We're hoping to see at least one of the weddings, too, Scrappy910. We usually go to Serenity Bay, but not this year! We're really looking forward to seeing them...it'll be a nice way to celebrate our anniversary (even though it's really on the 14th). Fireplug, I noticed you and your wife are celebrating an anniversary, also. Congratulations!
