For those of you who dont know...Darkbeer is a moderator on the Trip Advisor boards for Disneyland and I just read a blog he posted today...
This post is from a Disney related site, called LaughingPlace.com, but I decided to post it here to see if anyone else has had these type of problems...
>>Several people have now had fraudulant charges made against their credit/debit cards by the Desert Inn. The latest that happened in my group was the final straw for me.
If you have previously stayed or are planning a stay at the Desert Inn, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE watch how your credit card is being charged!
This is a copy of a post I just made in another Desert Inn topic. I wanted to give it its own topic to make sure people see it.
I just spoke to Detective Faulkner of the Anaheim Police. He'd like any and all information from anyone who has had a problem similar to what Wendebird and quincytoo have experienced.
This type of fraud is called illegal use of funds. Whether Desert Inn is careless in their bookkeeping or intentionally committing this fraud, it needs to stop. While Desert Inn says they will reverse charges, they are not catching their errors and correcting them on their own. They are waiting for the customer to catch and report the problem. This means they have terrible financial controls. Who knows how many people have not caught these charges?
