Just got this in the mail

I have taken a picture of what I just got from DVC.

This is a piece of paper with four little VALID stickers on it to adhere to your DVC card.It says your card is due to expire in October,just place one of the VALID stickers over the expiration date on the back of your card.
Here's my DVC card...(I removed my name)

There is no expiration date on the back(or the front for that matter)Where do they come up with my card expires in October?

I've heard other people say something a month or so ago about getting new cards because theirs expired but no stickers, that will fall off in your wallet..

I could use a new card though,the numbers and use year are barely visible.

You've probably been having wild parties in a OKW GV making noise, beer cans on the balcony. You don't have until 2042

I just joined In Aug and the gold paint is wearing off mine already from pulling it in and out my wallet.LOL

Our original DVC member cards from 1995 had an expiration date. The new version of the card (the one with raised numbers) does not have an expiration date printed on the card. We requested replacement cards a couple of years ago.

Ya got me mb168!Only thing is,it wasn't a GV.We have wild parties with 6 of our closest friends in a studio at OKW.

More wasted money and inflating the dues cost. Amazing how good people are at spending someone else's money. We all know the membership is paying for all this waste, not Disney.

I received them today too! Our cards do not have expiration dates either. I am not exactly sure where we are supposed to stick them either since we have no dates to cover up LOL. Anyway, it is pretty silly since they only say VALID. They don't express when they will become invalid LOL!!! I think I will just hang onto them in case I need them at some point, but I will not be sticking them on my card! They look so CHEAP!!!

You didn't memorize your member number Dan? I have both of mine memorized! As well as Amex & SWA Visa

I got two sets in the mail today myself..... so I checked my memebership card and NO expireation date is listed....

I do like the fact that I am now VALID....... rofl..........

Ours did have expiration dates on them (we joined in '93) but I requested and received new cards recently which don't have expiration dates. Wonder if we'll still get the stickers.....

DVC wasted a ton of money sending the stickers out. As if they wouldn't know you were valid in the computer or not. Makes no sense to me.

I'm wondering if maybe you got them because you bought a re-sale that was originally sold a long time ago when they put an expiration date on them. If so, you probably got a newer card when you bought the resale, but the computer probably flags those points as being sold before the newer cards without an expiration were put to use, so they automatically sent the stickers.

I'm just wondering if that might be part of the reason?

My contracts are thru Disney also, and I don't have expiration dates on our cards either. Not sure if I should stick them on or not. I wonder if not having a "valid" sticker on your card would make you get a delay in your check-in process at DVC? However, I do not recall them ever looking at the back of the card, do you?

I have the expiration date on the back of mine, so I definitely need the stickers. (They've done this in the past as well.)

I use mine at the Disney Store, and I'm sure they would have noticed that it "expired".

I'm glad to hear that they've been mailed out.

We joined in 2/98 and our member cards showed an expiration date of 10/31/02.
I stuck the "valid" on the old dates.
