Just got the best Christmas present ever - a new job!!!!!

To update everyone, I got the job I interviewed for last week! They called me a little while ago and I start on January 12. I can't explain with this means to our family. After 11 months of being laid off and no jobs in sight, SCORE!!!! Thank you to all you guys who have been so supportive!!!!

It might be a little rough, at first, with not the most ideal work shift, but it will all work out okay in the end, as I can take over the hours of someone who is ultimately looking to move out of state. Plus, I'll get a much better salary and be able to keep my credentials easier.

Thanks for the support. I meant to keep in touch with you about all of this, but things were so bad in nucs here, I tried to change careers. Bad move in this economy. They don't want to take a chance on someone experienced, much less a newcomer. Seriously, the only full time staff openings here in the entire city were someone passing away from cancer, someone retiring, and someone moving. Add all the new grads into the mix (that were training in some of those places already), and what do you have.... not good odds. Also, two NM programs just closed here. Not accepting any more students. That's huge. Kind of like wheen the Ohio schools all closed.

That being said, I feel so blessed. This makes the holidays look so much brighter!

(That, and I just saved 4 batches of homemade bath fizzies from a humidity cracking disaster - all that work would have gone down the drain - literally! )
