Just got home from a 7 day trip to WDW. Here's my super quick trip report :-)
1.) Spent a total of $686 (inclusive of tips) to feed Me, DH, and 11yo DS an 7yo DS. We ate at 5 sit down meals (Nine Dragons, Ohana, Rose and Crown, and Les Chefs de France, and Paradiso 37.) and at least 1 if not 2 counter services each day. We got what we wanted, App/Dessert, without following the "ddp" plan. We drank a beer or glass of wine at each meal AND got snacks and some drinks from Epcot stands. This was with Tables in Wonderland. I'm sold... for us TIW saved us SO much more than DDP ever would. And we ate well...and ALOT...and exactly what we wanted.

2.) Be our Guest (Lunchtime): showed up at 11am on the dot. Line was out the door, they said 20 min wait (they lied ;) we waited almost 40. It was worth it. Food was good, dining rooms were amazing! They need to work on the ordering/rose system. It was confusing for most people which made lines longer. Strawberry Cream Cheese cupcake was one of my favorite desserts of the week...and I typically really dislike cupcakes!

Fantasyland. - Belle line never got below a 50 minute wait... really bummed, but wasn't waiting that long. Mermaid ride was cute... exactly like Seas with Nemo ride...but cute nonetheless.

Test Track - Do NOT waste your time. Used to be one of our favorite rides. It absolutely stinks now...so let down. :confused3

Weather was great! (high 70's during day - at night we needed a light hoodie, got into high 50's...that's IT!

Ridiculously large strollers have taken over every bus/line/que/street. If you must use a double.. have it folded up BEFORE the bus gets here and by all means - you stroller doesn't deserve its own seat when others are standing. Sit it between your legs and allow someone to sit down.

Great trip...any questions?:goodvibes

Please elaborate on Test Track. It was still closed when we were there.

Thanks for the post!

Someone posted a video of new TT...I tried to keep myself from looking because I wanted to wait and be surprised. However, I'm impatient and watched.

I'm not so sure I'm going to like it. It's a shame too because I felt like TT helped add some diversity to Epcot by adding another faster paced ride. Oh well...

:santa:Glad you had a good time. Totally agree with you on TIW! My DH & I will be going down (leaving in 8 days) for only 5 days and was wondering just how much $$ to take along and you gave me a good estimate -- thanks!

Did you go to the Candlelight Processional? If so, where/when did you eat? We have reservations at Rose & Crown for a late lunch and will be attending the 5 o'clock CP. Were you able to use you TIW card for this meal?

Thanks for sharing!

We watched CP (for just about 15min) from behind the stadium. So we didn't need meal ticket. We've seen it before and didn't feel the need to see it full out again (although we do love it!.)

As far as Test Track. For us, we felt that the inside of test track was VERY similar to the old one... except minus all the things to look at. Meaning the same turns/stop on a dime/etc...but the whole thing was just darkish with music. Plus it was bright enough that you could see the car in front of you the whole entire time - we you could see what was about to happen to your car. (?!) It had very little if any "theming" at all. If I hadn't ridden the old TT I would've had no idea why this car was even stoping/turning/etc. I kinda liken it to a clamshell ride with only a track... with dimmed lights...and absolutely nothing else around you except some stars.

The outside part is fun....but that lasted all of 3.5 seconds. So let down :confused3 . And they give you these 'cards' to swipe during your que to "build things" - which 100% don't work. 3 out of the 4 of us had cards that wouldn't swipe anything at anytime. I'd guesstimate that approx. 90% of the people around us had non-functioning cards too. The overall feel of everyone on the ride was "I don't get it?!" Many/Most people who got off were saying things like "I waited for that?" "What WAS that ride?!" and "I'm telling all those people in the back of the line to NOT waste their time." People were actually going back to the entrance and telling people that the 50min wait was absolutely not worth their time. (We had FP's - waited 15 min - and it was probably the worst 15m waste of my trip.)

I don't understand what was wrong with the old TT! Except when it didn't work! Upgrade the mechanics but leave it alone. From what I read they were trying to do a "futuristic" TT but I assumed that just meant using cooler cars and some effects not making the whole thing black with weird lights throughout.

On another thread people were saying they shouldn't have built another Space Mountain or that it was like Tron meets TT.

I'll still try it out in January but am not expecting much.
