[/IMG]This was our first time at Universal, and we had a great time. We arrived Saturday and hit the pool at the Hard Rock after renting a car, driving over from the airport, and checking in. Kids loved the slide. Went to Universal for a bit (boys loved the rickshaws!), then went back to the hotel pool after dark and they watched the poolside movie (Little Rascals). Each day we did both parks, Citywalk, and swam at least twice. The 7 day tickets were awesome, going in and out of each park whenever we felt like it, and, of course, FOTL. The boys loved the PBH kids' pool with the slide in it, and the hot tub, too. At RPR, there were ducks in the pool that did not seemed bothered by my boys in the least. When they got tired of the kids, they just flew away for a bit and came back later. 12yo DS loved the independence of charging things to the room with his key, so he would hit Emack and Bolio's (ice cream shop in HRH) and get a pack of Starburst every now and then when little DS and I were in the parks doing the big coasters. Check in was a little slow at the HRH, which I had heard before we went. Not too bad, though. We had a garden view room...nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. No complaints. The kids loved the water taxi system, though we took the shuttle a couple of times, too. Once after swimming at the RPR pool, we were at the water taxi dock waiting for a ride and the captain HIT the dock with the boat HARD!!! It stalled the engine and he had to have the boat checked out by tech support before he could load people, so we went for the shuttle bus that time, lol. Poor guy. Overall, we had a great time, though, and will not hesitate to return. We ate at Nascar, Hard Rock Cafe, and NBA City. Also took them over to DTD to ride the StarRaycer boats and hit the
Lego store.
Oh my gosh, why is that pic so big?! Can anyone resize it for me? Thanks!
