We just got back last night from our stay at WDW and Cocoa Beach. We stayed at Pop for the first time and loved it. I am just going to post a few observations for now and will post a longer trip report later.

1. Arrival at Pop went smoothly. We arrived around 4:30 PM on Saturday the 14th. Checkin was speedy. We wanted a quiet room, far from Classic Hall, floor 3 or 4 and we got it. We stayed in the 90's building, room 8109, pool view, 3rd floor. Parking was readily available just outside the building in the 80's parking lot. This lot was mostly empty our whole stay. From the time we checked in to the time we brought our luggage to the room was about 15 minutes. We were very impressed to find that they had delivered a gift basket to the room in that short amount of time.

2. The walk from our room to Classic Hall took 5 minutes or less. The pool was not crowded at all. We found the room to be very clean, and certainly adequate for the 3 of us. Two adults and one 5 yr old. We did not hear any noise from adjoining rooms or even from the people in the pool late at night. Mousekeeping was good, did not receive any towel animals though. :sad2: We were able to get wake up calls from Mickey every morning, and I followed the advice I got off these boards to make the wake up call for a few minutes later or earlier than necessary, for example, if we wanted to get up at 7 we made it for 6:57, rather than exactly on the hour. :earsboy: The food court was busy, only ate there one evening. Even though it was crowded, the wait time for food and to check out went fairly fast. It was somewhat noisy. We found every CM from checkout to the food court to be very accomodating and pleasant also. As a rule, the few times we visited Classic Hall it was very busy and very noisy, the pool there was also very crowded and noisy.

3. We never had to wait over 10 minutes for a bus in the AM. We came back to the room during the mid-day one time and then went back several hours later and still did not wait for a bus. The buses to MK were the most crowded. We never had to stand, I guess we were just lucky in getting towards the front of the line. In the evening catching a bus back after parades and fireworks the wait was longer. Even so, most times 3 busses came at one time and everyone was able to get on though some had to stand. The line for the Pop buses is the furthest away from MK and also seemed to have the longest line. You should have seen the lines for the Monorail or the Ferry Boat!!! I would not liked to have stood in those lines, we were happy to wait for our bus. :earsgirl:

4. We found every ride in MK except Splash Mountain to be a walk on or a wait of 10 minutes or less. :goodvibes Only used fast pass one time. Where were the crowds everyone predicted? Fantasyland was the most crowded.
Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyears had no lines!! We rode both at least 5 times over 3 days. Epcot was the same, no lines. Animal Kingdom seemed deserted.

5. We had the dining plan and we saved $$$$$. Ate like Kings and Queens and still had snacks left when we left.

6. Any questions?? I'll be happy to answer all that I can.

Why is this important??

Do you get Mickey only on the "off" times?

The transportation seemed to be just great when we were there too......Our stay was during a busy time too. thanks again for your report
