Just got back home-LOW crowds 12/29

Hey everyone,

Just a quick uupdate. Me and 12 of my family members went to DLR yesterday all day (showed up at the security gates around 7:15AM, left the parks around 11PM). It rained pretty hard in the morning, which kept the crowds away all day!

Let's just say our longest wait was in the middle of the day for Indy-30 min. Indy, BTMRR and HMH were not using their FP machines because they had gotten wet from the rain. However, the whole day we did not need FP for any of those. The only long wait we saw was for Space, but that was probably only about an hour and probably because everybody used their FP over there because the rides on the left side weren't using FP.

Anyway, it was a great day at the parks. We rode 24 rides and saw the 8:00 WoC show, and we also explored ElecTRONica for a bit too.

Just thought I'd share this little tidbit with everyone. I'll be posting a more in depth TR with photos in my Annual December TR thread.

My son was in one of the parades that day. Did you catch any of the marching bands?

The 29th was the last day of our trip and it was a wonderful day! We did see a few of the bands so which school was your son from?

Londonderry High School from Londonderry, NH. They wear red, white, and blue and are in California because they are in the Rose Bowl parade tomorrow (they are performing in a parade in DCA today, too!).

We were supposed to go with him but our flight was canceled at the last minute. The earliest they could reschedule us was FOUR DAYS LATER, which would have us spending a whopping 22 hours in California before heading home. We were heartbroken, but had to decline the airline's offer.
So, I am living vicariously through these threads and trying to read TRs from people who may have seen the band.
