DH and I went to Coronado Springs for the weekend. We had a disappointing stay. Maybe I have been spoiled from WDW. Our room had handles that were broke on the dresser, so we couldn't use the dresser. Then I noticed two other things that didn't seem to WDW like, the bedspread on one bed had a big hole with the stuffing exposed and then I went to grab a glass to pour myself some water and it had toothpaste all over it. I didn't let that ruin my night, so we went down to the pool at 7:30pm and they had already closed the bar, eating area, and we couldn't get to the towels. I couldn't understand why they were closed so early, it was still light out. By the time we went to bed at midnight, our room was a connecting room and there was a crying baby, and a little one that kept jiggling the handle. I tried my best to ignore it, but by 1:00 am when it was still going on DH knocked on the door, but no answer. Apparently the parents feel asleep while the children were crying and roaming around. So, we called the front desk and they moved us to a two bedroom suite at no extra cost. Oh, forgot to mention that the Karokee is no longer happening (which I was looking forward to). I need someone to convince me that this was just a bad stay and I should try and go back. Maybe I am making a bigger deal out of this than I should??
Anyway I am really looking forward to our stay at Caribbean Beach Resort in 3 weeks and 2 days. ..... And of course our cruise!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :jester: :D

wow... you were upgraded to a 2-bedroom suite at no extra charge. How many days did you stay there?

I think you should be happy about that. It was just a bad luck that everything happened all at once.

Hope your next trip is better than this one, for sure!

wow im sorry to hear that you didnt enjoy this resort..hopefuly you will have a nicer stay at carribean beach-what section were you in? also was the pool/eating area closed that early every day you were there?? i will be there in 2 weeks and have really been looking forward to staying there-i hope im not disappointed-in the past ive stayed at the all stars, CBR, and WL and never had a problem...im also curious for anyone else who reads this post have any of you ever been put in connecting rooms when you werent staying with another family because ive been there many times and this has never happened to me and was wondering if this happens often..

I stayed there 2 nights. I am a FL Resident that also has the Premium Annual Passes, so we come once a month. We have been to the Caribbean Beach, Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter, All Star Music, All Star Sports, Boardwalk Inn, and Coronado Springs. We will be going to Fort Wilderness Lodge in June. Looking forward to that one, looks really nice. I have never had any problems at the Coronado Springs before, but have never been impressed with the food court (being expensive and adding a 10% gratuity, even though we wait on ourselves). We love all the resorts and enjoy ourselves so much that we go once a month, while our annual passes are still good and as long as we can get those FL Residents rates. :D

Yes, we were upgraded at no charge, which I am very thankful for. ;) We went both nights around 7pm to the pool and yes they closed down both nights at 7pm. The pool was open for use, but no bar, eating area (snack bar w/ hotdogs, burgers, etc.) or ability to get towels. So, we grabbed towels, food and drink early (5pm) the 2nd night.
