We had a wonderful time at Disneyland. We left Friday and came back on Monday. Spending time at Disney during the Holidays is extra magical. It's always extra special walking the steps where Walt walked.
We stayed at the Candy Cane Hotel which is only a 10 minute walk down the street from the main gain. Very nice hotel and they do have bus shuttle service. I would recommend staying there if you want to save some money.
The Christmas parade and fireworks were just fabulous. Very festive and a must see by all. I was very crowded on Sunday. I was told the California schools were just let out for the holidays.
I had two bummers. 1) I saw very few CM with pin traders.
2) The new Matterhorn seats were very painful for me to ride. I'm 6'3" and I barely fit. The old Matterhorn ride was perfect - I could stretch my legs out and ride in comfort. I wish Disney would change it back to the old ride seating. Sadly, I will never ride this again.
I loved the Nightmare before Christmas Haunted Mansion ride during the holidays. Well done Disney!
