Thank you to everyone on this board who helped answer any questions I had regarding Uni/IOA. My last visit was in 2003 so a lot had changed since then.
One of the best advice I received was to stay on property. The lines for many attractions were very long, some 2 hours long!! It was so worth the $315 rate to stay at the Royal Pacific. We were done with IOA in the early afternoon and had plenty of time to relax at the pool before going back to IOA at night.
I highly recommend doing HP in the morning and then Ollivander's at night. We waited about 20 min for Ollivander and then went back on HP for a 2nd time. The first time we rode I had missed the dementor sucking out our soul with our photos but caught it the 2nd time.
I did the castle tour right after riding it in the morning. Very important to get there early. We arrived at IOA (about 10 to 8) for an 8am opening and still waited about 20-30 min to ride HP.
I didn't ride Dragon Challenge (husband and son did) but enjoyed going through the queue to see Hagrid's hut, the weasley car etc etc.
Loved all the shops and took my time going to each one and seeing the different displays.
Loved having lunch at Mythos, Great food!!
Uni: forgot how much fun this park was. Transformers was absolutely incredible. Loved it! Right up there with Spidey. Actually better than Spidey.
In the middle of Despicable Me there were some technical difficulties and they had to stop the ride. We waited a good 15 min. or so and they started the ride from the beginning.
Anyway, thank you again for making my trip so enjoyable!!
