We usually go to Disney every five years because we travel to other places. We were just there last week, and I'm actually considering going back in October. The weather was so hot when we were there that we really couldn't enjoy the parks. We missed see so much because of it. I can't believe I am even considering going back so soon - but, the fairytale package seems like such a great deal. I really was only considering going back for about 4 days, but I guess we'll HAVE to do the 7 days! How is the weather in October (the beginning of Oct.)???

We almost always go the 1st or second week in oct. 5 of our trips were in those weeks! Mid 80's, no humidity sometimes in the low 80's! Parks aren't too busy, we go before the food & wine fest.) We never feel it is too hot. For some reason, I feel like in never rains when we go, so GO FOR IT!!
I hope it works for you!

Mer...
i wouldn't blame you if you go. i was just looking at prices for 7 days for me and my GF. with the deals on Southwest, it's less than $1400

that means flights, tickets and resorts for less than $100 per person, per day. wow!!!

The second I get home, I start wondering if I can catch the next plane out to Disney for more fun! I wish I lived there!

We went last Oct. from the 2nd -11th and it was around 85 and dry. It rained only on one afternoon for about 30 mins. We are planning on going back this year around the same time because of the low crowds and nice weather.

I say GO FOR IT!

We have NEVER EVER been to WDW, our first trip will be in June.

But we already have reservations at AKL in December & just last night talked about going in March for a week too!!!

I have it bad already & never stepped a foot into Disney yet!

I say go for it. We just did the same thing -returned a few weeks ago and have already bought tickets to MNSSHP and also booked WL for a romantic trip in Dec.

We did the same thing-just got back and with all the specials going on I'm ready to go back in Sept/Oct also. Just need to convince DH.

We just back back almost 2 weeks ago and immediately booked another trip for October. We didn't use the Fairytale package as we have an annual pass. October is our favorite time to go to
WDW. There are no crowds and the weather is perfect. Have fun planning another trip!!

What week in Oct. has the lowest crowds? I am thinking of going alone with my 3yr old and I would really like to go at a time when there aren't alot of lines to stand in.

I've just got one thing to say....ME TOO! I would really like to get down there, not just for MNSSHP but to see some of the performers that will be there for the F&W festival. I love WDW in the Fall. Nearly crowd free and usually a bit cooler. It's a great time to be there.

Mer,
Everytime I return from a WDW trip I'm ALWAYS thinking of how soon I could go back! Last summer we were at WDW in July and decided to again go back in October for the Mickey Not So Scary Halloween Party and also the Food and Wine Festival was going on then - that was awesome! I love going in October now! We (my son and my sister(s)) are planning a WDW trip come JUly 5 but I bet we are back in October or maybe even December - we'll see. Just have to see how much cash I can save but IT IS WORTH IT! LOL! :D :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I need some help!! What can I do to convince DH we have to go back in October (just go back in May). Not even these great specials are swaying him. HELP!

I believe you asked about the weather. It will "probably" be a bit cooler and lower humidity than May but, if the weather was a problem for you this trip, you should know it's entirely possible the weather would be identical to the last few weeks. If you doubt, read the locations of the other posters, then read mine. The crowds will be lower but I felt you should have honest expectations about the weather.

We just came back from Disney World (first time using an AP). We already planned on going back in Dec but we are looking at going in Oct as well.

Once you buy an AP, Disney is a relatively affordable vacation.
