We just got back yesterday from a 4 day trip to DLR. We went from 12/28-12/31. There were some great parts of our trip, but also some bad parts so I thought I'd come here to share what we liked and didn't like about our trip.
What we liked:
A cast member named Carly that was working NOS on New Year's Eve. We were waiting for Fantasmic (9 pm showing) and she was working our section. She was super nice and we got to talking to her along with another couple that was standing near us. She ended up moving us to the VIP seating so we could see the show and it was awesome!! She was really nice and it was a really special treat.
We got dreamed finally!! Outside of IASW we got dreamed with dream ears exciting the ride around 4 pm.
Great music on New Years Eve. They had DJs set up at IASW and at the castle and they played good music for hours until the countdown.
All the Christmas decorations!! Everything was so beautiful I was pulling my camera out to snap pics of it all. The parade and the snow effects were awesome. My DD4 loved it all.
Things we could have done without:
Everything was breaking down!! Especially the Roger Rabbit ride. It was broke down every day we were there. Mr. Toad's Wild Ride broke down while we were in line for it, but it was a quick 10 min fix.
The fireworks at midnight on New Years Eve were covered in fog
not DLR's fault of course.
Crazy lines everywhere...for rides...for food...for the bathroom haha there were soooo many people there I thought I was going to lose my family for sure! Weirdly enough though...I thought the crowd was busier on the 30th than on New Year's Eve.
All in all it was a great trip. We celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary and New Years Eve there and it was something we will never forget. I would definately go back, even on New Years Eve because we had so much fun.
