I received an e-mail this morning with a PIN code for free dining. I was so excited until I saw that it had a different family's name on it. This happened to us on our May trip also. At that time, I called Disney and they ended up honoring it. I tried calling three different times this morning, and they won't do it now. I asked to speak with supervisors each time. I asked them why they keep sending offers to my e-mail address with other family's names on it. Has this happened to anyone else recently?

That hasn't happened to me, but I know how much is bites! My sister gets pin codes in the mail all the time at MY address. It makes no sense to me, but makes me so mad because I am the one who goes to Disney and can't even use them.

I would try calling a few more times. Its too bad that you are getting these code offers, but not with your name. Maybe somene there will have a sympathetic ear. Good luck.

When you get an email from Disney with a pin code attached to it, what is in the subject line of the email? So I know what to look for. All I ever seem to get from Disney through email are emails that say "Jennifer, your SEPTEMBER Disney "Hello!" is here!" on the subject line.

Thanks for your help.

Jen

Call again, maybe a different person will honor it?! I got that pin in my email too. I only wish we could go when it is offered!!!!!!

It says," Pack now, and the dining's on us, _____ Family!

I called back two more times throughout the day and was told I couldn't use it because that wasn't my name and it was assigned to a different household.

One last question. Is the sender Disney Dentinations? I want to make sure that I don't ever miss a pin code. That's if I'd ever get one:))

Thanks for the information. Hopefully one of these days I'll be happy to see a pin code in my inbox.

I received a postcard offer once here at my home address with the wrong name on it. When I called disney, they searched via address (rather than name) and found the discount tagged to my address (and they also found the mistake where the wrong name was connected to my address in a whole separate file...). In the end, they honored it because I indeed received the offer. So....it's too bad disney can't search via email address to verify that your email was indeed sent an offer. Seems like they'd honor it in that case. Good luck to you!

I was looking thru my old emails from Disney and noticed that I was receiving PIN codes up to one month before I joined DVC club. The month I joined DVC the PIN codes dried up. Haven't received one single one since then and I was getting them monthly before that. Go figure. I guess they consider it a way to hook you to the timeshare business and once you buy then they no longer market to you, at least not with PIN codes. Anyone else notice this?:surfweb:

Just wanted to make sure you are aware of the Visa FD offer. If you have it, you can basically get the same offer.

It's probably been about a month now since I received them, but I got the same email, to the "XXXXX Family!" (XXXXX not being my last name.) Thing is, I got it on two separate email addresses, for the same "XXXXX Family!"

I'm wondering if there's a mix-up in their automated email system.

Got the same emails - twice! One was a pin code for a date I couldn't use anyway, the other was an ad. It was addressed to my mom. I think it's because we had a grand gathering last spring, and I booked it for all of us. I called and they said if I wanted to use the pin, I could, but couldn't anyway!

:cool1: :cool1: I just found an email with a pin code.
Do you think I can use this with my other code and get free dining?

What do you say to three shillings and we forget the name?
;)
