Just for fun: What's the most unique item you ever bought as a souvenir at WDW?

When we went on our honeymoon in 95, we bought several Americana things in this little shop in Liberty Square. There was a wood-carver right there in the shop, and we bought some hand carved letters that spelled out I (heart) USA (the letters were red white and blue) and a hand carved angel that was in American colors---so cute...they're still in my living room. And I think we got both things for around $15. When I went in there this last time, it was all Disney Americana stuff- cute, but nothing as original and homey as that stuff.

While on an anniversary trip, we discovered our stemware pattern from Waterford that had an additional design: mickey icons. I was thrilled to purchase a pair of them, and they were on sale as a special bonus.

In the Wales shop about 15 years ago my husband bought me a beautiful huge potter pitcher with a lady godiva type woman riding a horse.

It is authentic, cost about $100 then; and is still stunning. I couldn't justify the matching plate with the lion and still grieve that I didn't get it.

I'm always disappointed now to go into that shop and not find the handcrafted items like they had then.

Has to be my Malificent doll. My dh and friends still think I'm nuts for buying it and dragging it home. But, it sits on my bureau in a place of honor. And I have passed that magical half century mark, so I'm no kid!!

My most unique and favorite item is a juice glass with Pooh etched on it. I bought it near the Germany pavilian in Epcot, and they engraved my name on it for free. I have it sitting on a shelf at work - reminds me of our magical trip just a year ago!

I think my most recent unique souvenier was personalized Mickey head dog tags for my dogs. I bought them at Downtown Disney and they engraved the names on at the personalization shop off of the Christmas store. It was inexpensive and I love seeing my dogs with little "hidden Mickeys" on their collar.

After purchasing AP's for our family of 6 each year, there is very little money left for souvenirs. My only indulgence on several trips was a new front license plate for my van, with the latest WDW "theme"(Millenium with the 2000 logo, 100 Years of Magic with a sorcerer's hat, etc.), and a new Mickey head antenna topper to replace the one that is repeatedly stolen(not by the same person, either. Several were taken while we were AT WDW!!) This year's tag offerings did not appeal to me, so I purchased a set of black fuzzy dice with Mickey heads on them at the shop at Test Track. My 2 younger kids and I love them, but my 2 teenage daughters find them quite embarrassing.
