Not as great as some of yours, but nice for me!

I was at Sherwin-Williams yesterday to pick up some paint they'd had to order for me It's a dark red and the deep red base paint was not in stock when I went to buy it last week. The manager said the deep red in the Duration paint was back-ordered, so he said he'd see what he could do for me. He found a gallon of a different paint, but in the red and mixed it up for me. I was also buying some more paint rollers and had out a coupon for 25% off paint, 15% off supplies. He said, "just pay for the rollers and I'll give you the paint." The paint can is dented, but he mixed it and gave it to me for free! That's about a $50 savings.

I will say that since we moved into our new house last fall I've bought about 20 gallons of paint there, so I earned a freebie!

This past Christmas Walmart had a package deal where you buy a Wii game and get a controller free. I needed a controller anyway, so it was a no-brainer to get Epic Mickey and the controller for DD for about 40 shipped. Even better were a few vacation related deals- had a decent deal on airfare from Jetblue a couple years back. They came out with a coupon that further lowered the price. Since they give credit if your flight drops in price, I called to see what they could do. Ended up with each flight at about 150 RT...about 100 savings total! Read on a deal site later that not many people got a price adjustment, so I guess I got lucky.

Bought a 96 Camry for $50. Drove it everywhere between Pittsburgh and long island for 10 months, mainly from Penn state to scranton, and an entire summer of commuting to work. When he died, I junked him for $200 cash.

I think that is a winner!

Let's see getting a oil change and brand tires at Wal-mart for free because the debit/credit card machine was down. In the same store order 200.00 worth groceries for cookout for the hoilday weekend. I think the total price was 700.00 dollars that got for free.

Is that a bargain, or indirect theft?

-On dealfind yesterday I bought a certificate for $25 ($155 worth of stuff) so I saved $130 on that plus it gave me the option to post the deal of facebook and make $6 for each friend that purchased the same deal and I ended up making $36 from that. So in the end I got the certificate worth $155 and came out ahead an extra $11!!!!
-A FREE $300 camera from Future Shop which also came with a code to get a FREE Kodak Photobook. I used Credit Cards points I had saved up to get this.

I got a 3-yr. subscription to Vanity Fair for DD for Christmas for $0.01 (yes, one cent!)

I also got $600 worth of gift cards for free through hotel rewards points. Hey, we were staying at a long-term stay hotel anyway, why not earn points?

Also using hotel rewards points, I got DDs hotel rooms for a week in Scotland and a week in London for DD and her BF.

We earn +/- 500,000 points per year through this rewards program.
