BF came for the weekend. It flew by. Now I won't see him till we go home for xmas. Yuck, I always hate the day he leaves. We had such a great weekend.
6 months and counting till graduation! :cool1:

ETA: I'm not looking for sympathy or anything, just felt like getting it off my chest!

:grouphug: Long distance relationships are SO hard.

Start a countdown timer for your Christmas visit. :)

I feel for you. My husband was a US Marine for years and it was always sad to say goodbye to him. Christmas will be here soon, try and stay busy. I used to create special things for my husband, like scrap books, etc. when he was away. Maybe you could plan a special Christmas gift. One year I did a scavenger hunt for him, with little gifts hidden and clues. It was fun to plan occupied my time, and he liked it. Take care!

I have so much respect for families of military people. When I say 'bye' to BF it always puts things into perspective when I think that wives of military men have to say bye for even longer.

The word that always comes to mind when I say goodbye to BF is 'unnatural', because, it just feels so unnatural to not be with him. I guess you must understand what I mean. It just feels wrong, as if we're not SUPPOSED to be apart!

I'm sorry! but look forward to your wonderful holidays together! Planning things will make the days go faster! Truly, Dec. is one month that DOES fly by! :grouphug:

Hey - that's not unusual! Before we were married, I hated Sunday evenings, because we might not see each other until Friday evening! (we spent most of the weekend together) I think that's at least half the reason we got married - we couldn't stand to be apart!
The next few weeks will fly by!

I understand that. I just said goodbye to my mom and sister for a few weeks when I finally go home for Christmas break. I said goodbye to my dad today too; he won't be home until March. He's leaving Wednesday for a business trip that'll be 3000 miles a way and won't even be home for Christmas. Every time I get upset about that though, I remember that at least he's not in combat.
