Just exactly what can you get at the bakery in France on DDP?

I have checked the Disney website and the allearsnet.com listing of participating restaurants and they both say that you can use both a snack credit and a counter service credit.

However, during my last trip on two separate occasions I tried to use a snack credit for a pastry and my wife tried to get a sandwich platter with a counter service credit and both times we were denied.

What is the definitive answer? Can we use our credits for anything at the bakery or not?

Thank you.

Apparently this year you can use snack credits for pastries and counter service for sandwiches. Last year you couldn't.

You have always been able to use a CS there, but the only thing you could get for a snack credit was a medium soda or a bottle of water. We've eaten there three times on the DDP (Sept 05, Sept 06, and May 07). For a CS credit we were allowed to get a sandwich (or a fruit/cheese plate), any pastry, and a medium soda. There was no restriction on which pastries we could get. We were allowed only a medium soda though. Our first trip there we had eaten at La Kringla Bakeri earlier in the trip and were allowed a sandwich, cup of soup, any pastry and a large soda. So when we went to the French Bakery we assumed we'd be allowed a large soda again. They quickly told us only a medium was allowed.

From what I've read, starting January '08 they are now accepting snack credits for some of the pastries, also.

In the past, you could only get bottled water, or use a counter service credit for 2 snacks and a drink, but now you are allowed to use snack credits for the pastries.
