Just did online checkin for HHI

Just did onnline chek in for arrival on Sunday June 3 yesterday. I cant wait to get there..our 6th summer there....love everything about the resort and the island.

Have a great time! Our first nearly all family HHI vacation starts in a month. The missing family branch have a relatively new baby, born March 24, so they decided it was too soon for a beach vacation. There's always next year!

We check-in on Sunday, but I wanted to shoot you a quick message to see what kind of cool things you recommend?? This will be our first week at HHI so anything you want to share would be great.

My wife and kids want to do a Dolphin boat trip, but I wasn't sure if we should book something in advance or wait and go through the resort when we get there??

If you have some time would love to hear any tips or pointers you may have...

Since you all are annual goers, what do you recommend as far as beach chairs and umbrellas? Easier to rent or bring your own. Can you bring them on the shuttle?

We always bring ours, but we never take the shuttle. It is just so much easier and faster to drive over ourselves. There is never a problem with parking. Plus a lot of times I will leave DW on the beach and go exploring the island.

We check in on Sunday, the 3rd also. Does anyone know how far the walk is that goes thru the tunnel under the hiway 278? the one to the beach house area, I mean. Also, I know where you enter it, but where does it come out on the other side? Thanks.

It comes out right across the street from the entrance to shelter cove, and I believe it's 1.3 miles to the beach house.

EEE! I almost forgot about on line check in since we are not staying at WDW and this is our 1st DVC trip to HHI~ your post reminded me and I am even more excited (if that is even possible!) Checking in at home before I arrive makes me feel like my vacation has already begun!!
