If a person doesn't list any information about themselves in their profile, how do you go about deciding what kind of person they are? How do you decide if they are male or female, old or young, etc.? I've come to the strange conclusion that if I don't know anything about a person, and their username doesn't contribute any information, then I assume they are similar to me - same gender, same generation. I wonder if other people do this as well, because some people assume I'm female, some people assume I'm male and so on. Just curious...

It usually doesn't matter to me, who the person is specifically. After awhile you start to figure out who they are by the things they talk about etc.
But I think that what you do also applies for me. I tend to figure that they are somewhat similar to me. I don't know why that is?

I tend to think everyone is female, until I read otherwise. Usually the males have a male sounding name.

I believe your all sexy women on the other end of the screen

I don't believe you are all females...but I believe all the females have cute toes tho....:D

I usually picture everyone (unless they have an obviously male name or say they are male) being female. I guess this is b/c I could never, ever, in a million years see my DH posting on a message board. He checks his ESPN.com and then he's off. Also, the other board I have posted on, mycoupons.com is almost all women.

Lori P. :)

I haven't ever checked a profile. I guess I take my cues from what people post as to their gender, etc. Some are much more obvious than others (Dan Murphy!) I try not to "assume" anything about anyone--it can get you in lots of trouble!!!;)

We may be masquerading as adults, but with Disney we're all about 10 years old:D Actually you become acquainted with people by their comments and attitudes over a period of time. You'll read about people remembering movies, tv shows, Disney things, etc. Kinda cool that we can become friendly with such a diverse group just because we love::MickeyMo

I thought jfulcer was a man...then when I saw he made those gorgeous Cinderella dresses, I thought I was wrong or his wife was posting...WHOOPS. Yoda says "Sexist you are".

It isn't fair, I dropped out of sewing after the girl next to me ran the needle through her finger in Home EC. :p

I tend to think I'm a man, too But then again, since I've been one all my life it's understandable. ;)

I don't know any other men that knows how to sew. One of my friends said 'oh, what a girlie man'. I betcha his wife wishes he could sew. :teeth: :teeth:

(P.S. Did you see these dresses?)
