Just Curious..What do you think of the name Jaden for a boy??

That name for a boy is actually cool. I have a cousin named Jaden and trust me all the ladies love it. :thumbsup2 don't be afraid to name a boy with a girls name. Also a boys name i recommend is Avery.

I like it, but I would probably not name any of my children Jaden.

Now dont get your feelings hurt if you get some answers that you dont want to hear ;)
I dont like it.
I always lean toward old fashioned names, not a fan of all the new made up names out there but thats just me. Names have to start somewhere i guess.
Im sure if i met a child with that name, my first response wouldnt be OH MY GOD what a horrible name, but i would never name my child it.

No feelings hurt here! I don't really like the name myself. I was just seeing what you all though of it!:goodvibes

I never liked it and like it even less since Brittney and Fed Ex named their latest Jaden.

I wouldn't use it personally, but my neighbor's boy is named Jayden (same way Brit spelled it, but neighbor's Jayden was first!) and it fits him.

I just don't like it period, but I'm also much more old-fashioned when it comes to names. :)

There are 3 in my school -- each spelled differently -- Jaiden, Jayden, and Jaden. Two are boys and one is a girl.

I liked it way back when Will Smith and Jada Pinkette Smith named their child Jaden but have to say that I like it less after K-Fed and Brittney named their child Jaden. Anything associated w/those two makes me a bit nauseous.

I don't like it at all,too trendy, I like old fashioned names.
Also, I think it sounds rather feminine for a boy.

My friend had a baby boy Dec 19th and named him Jadon. I really don't like it. But, I'm not the mommy so I don't have a say. I think it sounds awfully feminine.

I don't like it. I don't like the "Jay" sound in general and it is very trendy right now (but my son's name turned out to be trendy, too, even though I only heard it on one other person before I named him).

Actually, though, Jadon (spelled this way) is a biblical name. He worked on the wall at Jerusalem. So it is a very old name, not new.

I don't like it for a boy. It sounds way to feminine.

I don't get how people say it sounds feminine. What part of it? I mean Hayden is a boy's name. And Jay is a boy's name.

Just me personally, I don't like any of the --en sounding names, Jaden, Hayden, Aiden, Cayden and all the different ways to spell them.
Just not my cup of tea for a boy or a girl.

Different people have different opinions, just like some people don't like my son's name (Jackson), which is OK with me.

It would be kind of boring if we were all named the same ;)

I guess it sounds feminine to me because one of my students' name is Jayden and she is a girl. Never met a boy Jayden.

I don't like it either way. Personally I like more traditional names.

I'm thinking it sounds more like Jade, which sounds like a girl's name, especially being a gemstone. I don't like the name Jaden for a girl or a boy, but especially not for a boy.

I think it's okay for a girl but too trendy. It sound feminine to me because I only know of girl Jadyn's (also the spelling for the two I know). When I was having my older two boys (17 and 13) Taylor and Jordan were both popular for boys - now all I hear are girls named Taylor and Jordan. Go figure. (I didn't name mine Taylor and Jordan btw, I'm just commenting on how names change orientation.)

I wouldn't choose it for a boy or a girl. I'm not a fan of names that are new/trendy -- I want a name that can withstand time, and Jaden has not been around long enough to know for sure whether it will be one that will.
