I can be such a fanatic about planning point usage! Do others of you plan out your point charts 4 and 5 years ahead? I even keep a chart of when I have to bank and borrow so I don't forget.

I know we are going to WDW this year and next year and then we plan to hit DisneyLand in 2003. That is about as far out as I can think.

I don't even know what is happening tonight, but we have this planned, am I crazy?

Gosh, I thought I was bad because I have the next two years planned and an idea for the third. I use soo many points, I don't even have to worry about banking.

Glad to see I'm not alone. Monday I can book the DCL for 2002 and I have three different trips planned using different scenerios for July 2002, November 2002 and April 2003. It's my favorite thing to do. Next to this message board. I'm addicted! :D

we have plans through april 2003. My wife gets sick of hearing about disney, sometimes I try to hide that I'm on this board. Boy and I'm boring.

And I thought it was just me.
WDW in June
WDW in November
Talk dh into buying add on at HH and go there in 2002, then do DCL either 2003 or 2004... and oh, I'd love to go to that ranch in Arizona when the kids are a little older, too!! :D
Planning point usage is my only escape from this boring, pathetic existence

....even now

But seriously, we do have reservations for this June, another over new years 2001, and will make ressies for June 2002 as soon as the 11 month window opens.

Also, my wife wants to go to London for our 20th anniversary (end of 2003). So the wheels in my head started turning - Orlando is an International airport ! I figure we fly to orlando, continue on to London for a week, and then fly back to Orlando, stay a week at the World, and then fly home. Sound like a plan ?

BTW, what time of the year is a good time to visit England ??

ps. : If it wasn't for DVC, I could never even consider this - there would have been only enough money to do one or the other, not both. Buying DVC was one of the best decisions we ever made !

I ws hoping to go on the African Safari in the Adventurer Collection in 2004 if it is still arround then. I hope it doesn't disappear like the Galapagos Islands trip. Has anyone gone on the Safari? Plus I would love to try Disneyland Paris. Paris was where I went for my honeymoon - sigh. (I love to plan!)a

I do several contingancy plans for each year and their points. When a decision is finnaly made and the people we are inviting along have decided, I know exactly how many points I have available for the next few years trips! I just did a 5 year plan because we have a group of 12 who went with us in 1999 and who plan to return with us in 2004. I need to plan ahead so I know I will have enough points for a week in a GV by then. I have about 4 scenarios planned out! :D

Making ressies for HH March 2002 in 1 week. Then WLV 2003, Cruise in 2004 and Bonnet Creek 2005.

I would also like to squeeze a small trip back to VB, a first trip to BWV and a trip to BCV. Gee, I guess I need to get some more points.

We have the balance of this year and 2002 planned, and are beginning to decide on 2003 (OKW/VB or HH). We thought of skipping DVC in 2003 and banking the points to 2004. May do an alternative cruise to DCL in 2003 and maybe Las Vegas (first time). Although I just read on this board about Hawaii.

I'll sometimes plan up to two years in advance. On a sheet I'll write out different vacation options with points until I come up with something I like.

For this year I had to plan two years in advance for sure. I'm attending a meeting in December and knew I needed a one bedroom unit. That cost was figured first and all other vacations planned around it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who plans waaaay in advance. I spend hours fiddling with our points and writing out possible scenarios. I mark my calendar with banking dates and 11 month reservation dates. My hubby has no idea how much thought goes into using those points. We have 5 different contacts at two resorts with two different use years so I really have to think. I figure this is my way of keeping my brain functioning properly. LOL!!

We're all in good company!

My family has a blast planning our trips in the future! We're about a ten hour drive and it's not unusual for us to decide to "go down next month!"

We've got a week planned in May, November and December of this year. Most of the time we DVC it, but we do not have enough points to support our habit. I do not think I'll ever have to worry about "banking" points. I'm also a PT CM at the Disney Store so we take advantage of our resort discounts whenever we can.

What's not to love?????

Cheers,
Bwalker ;)

I think all this fanatical planning is why we are always so eager to buy more points! It truely is an addiction! <IMG WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif" alt="razz">
