Hi everyone! We are excited bout our trip to FW in early Dec. I just booked a cabing at FW and was wondering where exactly the cabins are located at.

I noticed that all of the lops on the map seem to be designated as hook up sites.

Hope someone can help out - the last time I was at FW was 15 years ago on our WDW family vacation. Since I was 12, I don't remember much about FW except that Chip and Dale were there and the murphy bed :rotfl:

Being in the cabins do you really need to rent a GC? I am going back and forth on this. Also how about refillable mugs? Where can you get those filled and do you fill them yourself or does someone fill them for you?

Thanks for the help and sorry OP, don't mean to hijack - we are at the fort in a cabin in 29 days!!!!!!!! I can't wait, as we woke up to 3 inches of snow this morning in MI.

Thanks!
Michelle

You'll get differing opinions there. :goodvibes
The bus system is setup to get you where you want to go with minimal walking, but it tends to come down to how much time do you want to spend on a bus, and your budget. Also, if your cabin in somewhere in the middle of the loop - depending on the loop - you could have a bit of a walk to/from the bus stop.

You fill them yourself. There is a station at Trails End (go in the main door and look to the left of the cash register) and one at Meadows Trading Post too. I don't believe there is one at Settlement TP, but someone else can probably confirm that.

If you have a vehicle with you and will be spending most of your time at the parks, you can certainly do without the cart. If you are going to be doing a lot at the fort, car or no car, a cart will be very convenient. If the expense is prohibitive, fear not, the buses are perfectly usable, you will just need to relax your pace and accept a few waits. If you are considering spending just a couple of days exploring the fort, rent a cart for just those days. I wouldn't want to pay $58 a day to just drive a cart to the marina, leave it parked all day and then just drive it home... that's one expensive taxi ride!

:santa:

What do you think the chances are of us being able to rent a cart once we check in? I guess I am a little bit worried that there won't be any to rent.

If you want one, I'd definitely call to reserve it now. As best I can tell, they regularly run out.
