For my visit at the end of January, looked at Disney's park schedule and hope you can help me.

Noticed that the fireworks are BEFORE both F! shows. Fireworks at 8:45 and then F! at 9:05 and 10:15. Would it be possible to get a good view of fireworks and Fantasmic from the same location? How long do the fireworks last? If we want to see both fireworks and fantasmic, what's the best strategy? Is it even possible to see earlier F! show after fireworks?

And as a sidenote, for ElecTRONica, the times are listed as 6:00 to 6:30, 6:10 to 10:00. Just curious why it wouldn't just be 6:00 to 10:00? Or am I missing something?

Thanks!

Not really.

With the fireworks before BOTH Fantasmic! shows, the only way you can see the first Fantasmic! show AND the fireworks is to watch the fireworks from the Rivers of America. While you can see fireworks from the river (location of Fantasmic!), it is by NO means the best view of the fireworks and is not where I would recommend watching them from unless it's your only option.

Your better choice (if your group can make it until 11pm) is to watch the fireworks from Main Street and then head directly over to the riverfront to get a spot for the 10:15pm Fantasmic! show. Fantasmic! will end slightly before 10:40pm.

How long do the fireworks last?
Approximately 20 minutes, depending upon which show is running at the time.

See above

Not sure why the ElecTRONica times are listed the way you stated. Maybe someone else who is more of an ElecTRONica "goer" can address that question for you. :goodvibes

We are going in Feb with the same schedule. What are the chances of seeing the fireworks and still getting a decent view of fantasmic?

I'm not sure about your listed times, but ElecTRONica has mini show within it. The 6 and 6:30 probably refer to the opening shows which take plaze in the "Sunwheel" Plaza.

The key to see both is to go from Fireworks to the second F!. Dreams mentioned this and I should of copied it. Stake out a good view for the Fireworks. Then as the first F! ends a vaccum forms. You can go take the spots of the exiting viewers and watch the second F!.

A little note on this, don't go through adventureland. It's best to go through the Frontieland entrance, or even sneak through carnation plaza that works really well to bypass big gobs of people. If it seems better go all the way behind the castle and around big thunder mountain.

Would this be the best plan for:

Fantasmic (9, 10:30)
Fireworks (9:30) ?

Should we stake out a spot for fireworks then head to 2nd showing of Fantasmic?

We are there Wed February 23rd, Thurs 24th, Friday 25th-

They have WOC every night but only have Fantasmic and Fireworks on the friday so I am thinking we will do WOC on Wed or Thurs then F&F on friday-

My DH and I have been to DL before but this will be DD's first time (she is 6)

electronica has a pre-show that kinda gets the party started at 6pm , its a cool show then the reall stuff starts after the pre-show in hollywood back lot and that stuff goes on untill the park closes...

if u see fireworks then try and see F! right after you may miss F!, the fireworks and f! overlap at the earlier shows that you have listed, you are better off seeing the later show of F!

Yes this will work well for you. First F! will end at about 9:20. Most of those people will try to get into the hub to see the fireworks but all the spots will be taken causing a jam for them. So watch the 9:30 fireworks, then go right around the jam to rivers of america and find a spot for the 10:30 F!.

I'd try to see WoC on Wednesday, the Fireworks/F! on Friday. You never know what will happen so it's good to plan these big show early to get them out of the way. Some people wait until the last night and then the wind cancels the fireworks and they miss out.

Also if you want a front row spot in front of SB castle for RDCT, I would wait at least one hour until the fireworks start. Some people wait as long as 3+ hours for a spot but that is mostly for the benches around the hub. I have seen people get in front of SB castle for the fireworks 15 min prior to the fireworks, but they were forcing there way in which is rude. That is mostly on the street where people come late for the fireworks by the Hub.

I agree with skiingfast (Matt). But when the fireworks end around 9:45pm, most of the guests around the Hub will head on over to the ROA for the 2nd show of F!. But they will be escorted towards the Frontierland entrance while the Adventureland entrance is the exit for the people who are there for the first show of F!. The CMs will make the people wait by the ROA by Frontierland until most of the people from the 1st show of F! cleared the area. There will also be some other guests around the HM and Critter Country to go in the viewing area.

You are right that they can cancel the fireworks due to high winds and F! can be cancel by a heavy raining day.

I might be in the minority here but i really like watching fireworks by its a small world.

I really enjoy the projections on the small world plus from what im reading here you could make your way to fantasmic from fantasyland a lot easier.

Thanks everyone for all the information. Now I have a better idea of our strategy for the nighttime entertainment. Yay!
