We just checked into akv Jambo house into what we used our points is 1 bedroom standard. I thought standard 1 bedrooms had a separate shower and jacuzzi?? Were in a 1 bedroom that has a shower bath combo. Are we in a wrong room? Does only kidani offer separate rooms? Just wanna make sure before we talk with Disney front desk. Thanks!

Jambo villas have a combination shower/jacuzzi tub combo. You are correct that only Kidani villas have separate shower and jacuzzi.

You are in the right room.

The layouts are different between Jambo and Kidani. Only the Kidani building has the separate shower and tub. You can see the difference between the layouts on the members' website. They have a schematic for both.

Jambo rooms were converted from regular hotel rooms and space was limited, so that is the reason for the difference.

Thanks! It's a great room but just wanted to make sure we got the room we used our points for.

We are looking to book AKV soon and that was one thing I asked...only Kidani offers two bathrooms.

Have a great vacation! :)

So outta curiosity what's the difference between our 1 bedroom and a value points 1 bedroom? Just location? I'm sorry view I mean.

i just wanted to tell you about the short cut to the buses near the bus stop there two plane doors they look like service entrance if they are locked use your room key they will unlock you will have access to all floors except concierge level one door goes to a stair well you just walk down through the door elevator just to the right if you cant handle stairs the other door has no stairs and leads to the same elevator you don't have to walk through the lobby have a nice vacation

The value one bedroom doesn't have the sleeper chair because it is smaller than the standard or savanna one bedroom villa. It's about three feet shorter in depth than those two.

As Deb said the value rooms are smaller so they can't have the sleeper chair. Otherwise things are the same. And Value doesn't have anything to do with the view - just size of the room. Value rooms look at either the pool, savannah or parking lot and it's the luck of the draw for what you are assigned.

Value rooms are 45% savanna, 45% pool, and 10% parking lot

And having stayed in several of them with my family of 3 - 100% cool !

One note - I do believe that the actual tub in the Jambo 1 bedroom is larger than the Kidani 1 bedroom. I know from our stays in the Value 1BR my daughter likes to camp out in the tub for a nice long soak. There have been times I went to the lobby area to use the bathrooms there.

Do you all think the value rooms should be avoided unless you need to spend the minimum points possible or are they good rooms and the less points is simply an added bonus?:confused3

I think they are a great value as long as you aren't having more than 2 people in them. With the good chance that you would get a savanna view, I think I would definitely use them for conserving points.

The only drawback of ANY Jambo room is that big tub/shower. It's very difficult for some of us "over 65" types to get in and out.

Having stayed at Jambo many times, I'm trying to picture where you mean. Can you give more details.
