Just cant believe the jump in prices in October school holidays

Just priced up three nights going on the Sunday staying New York Hotel 1 Adult 1 15 year old. £1553. Going exactly a week later £771. Crazy. Do prices usually more than double for school holidays. We have three weeks in Orlando in August but for first time time 10 years years and 12 visits not doing to Disney Parks (except water parks) so thought a nice three days in DLP would be good. Just cant believe how expensive, and thats without the Eurostar.

October half term is probably the busiest of the year, except maybe Christmas. It is usually the same price as the summer holidays. Also the best of the deals for October are usually earlier in the year along with the summer holiday deals. Last year I booked in early September on the French site with a better deal that the uk. I would wait untill towards the end of the summer holidays for better deals and look at the French site or Expedia as well as the uk site. Good luck! It's a great time of year top go!

As micksn has said, I would have a look on the French and other sites to compare prices. Or could you stay offsite and buy annual passes? Even if you didn't use them again I'm sure the cost of those plus an offsite hotel would come in at much less than £1,500.

The DLP prices always rocket. While we don't have kids, we look to avoid both UK and French holidays. Cheyenne doubles too when it's the holidays.

It varies country to country, you are looking at the last 2 weeks in October having some kind oh school holidays
