Just cancelled our trip-Could not get any of the restaurants we wanted.UPDATE ON PG 4

OUR TRIP IS BACK ON!!!! All because of a wonderful person here on the DISboards. I have to shout out a big thank you to ALICNWONDRLN aka Kelly for all her help. When she read about our problem she sent me a PM and offered to help. She is a TA with MOUSEFANTRAVEL. She graciously offered to call and try to get our ADR's for us. And she succeeded! So we now have our ADR's for our anniversary trip and I still get to keep the Christmas trip. Thanks again Kelly.

By the way have a great time at WL. We stayed WL CL last month for 8 nights and had so much fun. The rooms were not refurbished yet, but hopefully by the time you get there they will be. Say hi to Daisy for me. She works at the desk on the CL floor and she is awesome.

I have heard great things about Daisy from Brandon in the IPO office. Brandon lynne and trish have all been amazing and ds7 cant wait to get there. It is going to be a well deserved break for my family and we are all looking forward to it.

I'm sorry you had to cancel your trip. I really don't like the way the dining plan has now made it all but impossible to eat table service unless you plan your entire trip and meals six months out.

Disney has undergone many changes, but this one is, I think, my least favorite. Our trip is in November, and we've pretty much had to accept that we'll be eating counter service the whole time. It's just ridiculous to me. I wish they'd go back to the 60 days policy.

Gosh, I'm sorry to hear about you having to cancel your anniversary trip, but think how beautiful WDW will be for Christmas. May I add the your DH is a peach for suggesting a Christmas trip....my DH hates WDW and I have to beg, borrow and steal to get there. I'll be taking my first solo trip in Jan.07 for the marathon, but to be honest I'm looking forward to it. Enjoy your upcoming trip and happy anniversary!

I've always made my own ADRs whether I used a TA for the ressies or not--I know better what my acceptable options are, etc. However, if a TA has access to ADRs that I can't get, it could change my way of doing things.

If this is not the case, I don't understand how a TA dis-er got ADRs that you were unable to get for yourself.

I am not aware of extra ressies for tas. I called several times until I got a good CM and then told them what I needed they were close to times Jasmine was looking for and we talked by PM about options. It worked out for her and Im glad. I didnt mind taking the time to help someone. I wouldnt worry that you are mssing out on options. I think it takes luck persistance and a good cm with the dining. It took me weeks to get chef mickeys for my upcoming trip.
It just did.

I read about your situation on another thread. Like you, my family wouldn't hesitate to cancel our trip, if we couldn't get ADRs for any of the restaurants we wanted. We're foodies & dining is the most important part of our vacations. I'm glad it worked out for you. Kudos to Kelly.

For future reference, I wanted to make a suggestion. If you're ever in this situation again, instead of cancelling & possibly losing money, consider Universal. IMHO, Portifino Bay Hotel is the most romantic hotel at UO or WDW. UO also has some very nice restaurants. Emeril's is our favorite Orlando rest. Then there's also Tchoup Chop, another of Emeril's restaurants. You could also choose to go to The Palm or Bice. I suppose you get my drift by now. The list doesn't stop there though.
