Just came back. The good and the bad

I just got back. Overall I was pleased with the dining. For the 6 of us it cost $40 more than the dining plan would have, but We ate 7 full service and 3 quick service. We also had wine or beer several times. So we ate way better than the dining plan would have allowed.

We ate at:

Sanaa - best food we ate. Reasonable prices, nice quiet atmosphere, excellent service. If this was near my home, I would go often. We ate here twice

BOG - atmosphere was great in rose room. Seems a little noisy in ballroom. 5 of 6 dinners were great. Steak was not. I expected to pay much more for this level of food, service, and theming. This was really a special night out.

SanAngel inn - it was ok. More expensive than I expected. We actually spent more here Than at BOG!

Tusker house - character breakfast was fun! Breakfast buffet was first rate. Everything was very fresh, but we were at 1st seating.

CRT - Breakfast- Good food, great service, amazing experience.

Yak&Yeti - I would compare to PF Changs. (Very good)

The Mara (quick serve at AKL) - food was terrible, atmosphere was not good. The local McDonalds serves better food in a
comparable atmosphere for 1/3 the price.

Friars nook (quick serve at MK) - how can you mess up hot dogs? I loved the homemade chips.

Pizzafari - what you would expect at a zoo.

Best Experience-CRT

Worst food, value, and experience - Mara.

On our last night at Kidani, DH and DD were pooped and wanted to eat EasyMac in the room for dinner. DS opted to walk over to The Mara with me. He's an adventurous eater, and he ordered the chicken flatbread (I had the stew). He actually didn't care for the chimichurri sauce on the flatbread (I liked it, loved the stew), so I went back in to order some adult chicken nuggets. The CM manning the line realized I was back, I told him what had happened, and he just handed me a plate of chicken and said "enjoy." Can't really argue with customer service like that .

I really loved Sanaa (family just meh), but next time we'll sit in the bar and do drinks (smoothies for the kids!) and apps. The bar is gorgeous.

Glad to see you had a great experience at CRT. We have that booked for breakfast in May and I've been worried about it being a waste so hopefully we will have a great experience too.

I also love the Masters west wing (this is also called the rose room?) at BOG, we always go for lunch and love it

Did you eat at Yak and Yeti Quick Meal? We have been looking to going back to the restaurant but we can't find it listed on menus or on the dining plan? Anyone know what happened?
