Just called for cruise insurance info - they can't tell me what I'll be reimbursed????

Can anyone help me out here - just called the insurance co. that comes with DVC cruise confirmation letter. They can't tell me what I will be reimbursed $$$ wise for 258 points if I cancel. They can only tell me that in the point range 251-350, the max. is $1500. Gee, I'm thinking it may only be around $1000. Could that be possible???? Anyone have any experience with this insurance co.? I even asked to talk with a supervisor - they can't tell me until I send in my premium.

It was a long time ago that I checked it out. I remember that it only covered the dues on the points. I laughed very hard and hung up.

I found an old post on this board that implied they give you about $6 per point. I also called today and the travel guard company could not even tell me what the reimbursement rate was. They said ask DVC. I emailed member services and they said "we don't set the rates call travel guard." I agree with Rich this insurance is a joke.
