Hello all
It always feels a little bit rude appearing back on these boards after not being active for a while...I have been keeping up with everything but just quietly, haha!
The reason for my sudden reappearance is that we have had to make quite an unexpected change to our booking for September 2016. We had arranged to go to DLP with our grandma (who came with us in April 2012) and our cousin who will be 18 and off to university (if all goes to plan) at the end of September.
We booked the Disneyland Hotel for two people, adding two on with APs at check in, for the 11th-15th September 2016. We had wanted to go for Swing into Spring but once our cousin was in the equation we changed those plans so she could come along...
Last night I received a text message to ask if I booked it because she doesn't want to come as it will be a busy month! I had booked the hotel back in April but luckily only for two...so this now means we will only be renewing one AP and could've booked it cheaper to begin with and could've gone in May for Swing into Spring! (It has also messed up my lovely payment timetable but I won't bore you with that!)
So thus followed the quest to change our dates from September to May 2nd-6th. I wasn't sure if we'd be able to do this, especially because we booked under the Irish site and this confused the lady on the booking line immensely the first time around!
I phoned this morning and after 15 minutes on hold I spoke to a very helpful gentleman named Fabio and changed the dates with no trouble and no extra charge. It took a while because since our booking was done under the Irish site he wasn't sure how to check the new date would be the same price as our original booking, but all was well in the end.
I thought I'd share this with everyone as I know changing bookings is a bit of a grey area with what you can/can't do! It also meant that we could book the Eurostar...at £69 return! We were very pleased with this as the stress of waiting for the Eurostar booking window to be available for September was not something I was looking forward to at all!
Well done if you made it this far. Hopefully this post will be able to help someone in the future!
