We just told our 10 year old daughter about our upcoming trip at the end of May.. we couldn't keep it a secret any longer. She actually cried because she was so happy ! Being a dad is great but sometimes its truly awesome !

My parents did that same thing to my brother, sister and I when I was around that age. they didn't tell us until two days before, they couldn't figure out how to pack all of our clothes without us knowing. I can remember it to this day, almost 10 years later. It was one of the greatest days of my life. Good job

The last time I brought my kids...ages 13 and 17 at the time by the way it was a year ago....I told them about a week before.
I like to hold off so when you tell them we are going...they expect they have to wait months...nope...next week!!

Oh....I wish I could go now.

We're taking our son for a long weekend trip in September. He'll be 5 then. He's been 4 times so far, most recently in December, and at least once a day he tells us he wants to go back. He has no idea, and we're not going to tell him! His school lets out early the day we leave, and we're going to tell him we're going to the beach. We probably won't get to the resort till 10PM and he's gonna FLIP!! My wife and I are so excited!

I was totally bowled over .. WOW is all I can say

I often wonder why Disney never picked up on the idea of making a theatre in WDW so they have plays running every year -- Lion King - Mermaid - etc..
It would make a bundle I bet, there are only so many times i can see Cirque
