Just bought two DVC Aulani Resales and planning Aulani January 2018

Good morning!

Terribly excited as Disney has waived their right to first refusal on our 150 pt Aulani April use Year package and a 35 point Aulani December year package.

I am planning/hoping to book January 23-30,2018 stay at Aulani.

From my December use Year membership, I will have 21 points from 2016, and 35 pts for 2017 and 35 pts for 2018.

For my April use Year membership, I will have 150 pts in 2017 and 150 pts in 2018.

We want to book a two bedroom suite for Jan. 23-30, 2018 at Aulani...need 336 pts.

To make sure I understand, will I be able to do the following:

1. Bank my 21 pts from december 2016 use Year membership.

2. Borrow 15 pts from December 2017 use Year membership.

3. Transfer 21+15 pts December use Year membership to my April use Year membership.

4. Then borrow 150 2018 April Use Year points to my 150 2017 April Use Year points...

Look something like this

21 (Dec 2016 bank) + 15 (Dec 2017 borrow) + 150 pts April 2017 + 150 pts (April 2018 borrow) = 336 pts for a Jan 2018 reservation

Can this be done??

Your Jan '18 trip falls in your 2017 Dec use year so no need to borrow. Otherwise yes you can do it but be aware if you cancel that trip close to departure you'll be past your banking window for April 2017 points and those and the borrowed will need to be used by March 31 2018.

eta: Ok yeah your banking deadline for April is Nov 30 so you'd need to cancel before then to be able to bank those 2017 points. Just something to think about when traveling close to the end of your use year, especially with borrowed points.

Can this be done??

Banked points cannot be transferred even if within your own memberships (or it would take a very forgiving CM) so you would want to first have MS transfer the December 2016 points and the Dec 2017 points into the April UY and once that is done they can then bank the 2016 points. As mentioned, the December 2017 points would be current for the stay so nothing else will be done with them.

Everything else looks correct for usage from the April UY.
